Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, a first station discovers a second station capable of providing a service of interest to the first station. The second station is one of a plurality of stations participating in a NAN data link network that provides the service of interest and supports communication over a NAN data link channel without beaconing. The second station is discovered through communication over a NAN channel supported by a plurality of neighborhood stations forming a NAN network. The NAN channel has a beaconing operation that provides synchronization. After discovery of the second station, the first station communicates with the second station over the NAN data link channel, to obtain data corresponding to the service of interest.

One aspect of the subject matter described in the disclosure provides a method of transmitting service information in a wireless neighborhood aware network. The method includes generating a first message having a first service identifier. The first service identifier includes a first hash value based on a service name and timing information. The first hash value is generated by applying a first hash function. The method further includes transmitting the first message.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for generating wake-up radio (WUR) frames formats and implementing WUR communications between transmitting and receiving wireless devices. A transmitting wireless device may identify one or more intended receiving wireless devices for which to send a WUR frame. The transmitting wireless device may generate the WUR frame, where the WUR frame has a first portion that includes a first field. The first field may indicate whether the WUR frame is a fixed length frame or a variable length frame. The transmitting wireless device may also determine a frame check sequence (FCS) type for use with a WUR frame for transmission. The FCS portion may be capable of being one of a plurality of FCS types. The transmitting wireless device may transmit the WUR frame to the one or more intended receiving wireless devices.

Abstract: In some examples, a method includes receiving, at a second device of a data link group of a neighbor aware network (NAN), a message including an indication of whether a first device corresponding to a particular service is available during a particular time period during which devices of the data link group are configured to operate in an active operating mode. The method also includes transitioning to a low-power operating mode during one or more transmission windows corresponding to the particular time period in response to determining that the first device is unavailable during the particular time period.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may identify a jitter pattern for a wakeup message. A station may listen using a wakeup radio for a wakeup message during wakeup listening periods according to the identified jitter pattern. A station may receive a preamble having a first bandwidth and a wakeup message having a second bandwidth. An AP may transmit an identifier key to a station, and the station may determine a rotating identifier associated with the AP based on the received identifier key. The station may receive a wakeup message from the AP, compare a sender identifier with the rotating identifier, and power on a second radio. A station may also receive a wakeup message that includes an indication of which station are to be activated.
