Abstract: A containment system for a fuel-water separator assembly on a watercraft. The containment system may be used to shield the fuel-water separator assembly from sunlight, enabling the containment system to be located outside existing above-deck compartments. When location within an existing compartment is desired, the containment systems, by virtue of isolating the fuel-water separator from the internal surroundings of the compartment, can be placed in closer proximity to electrical equipment, providing a greater degree of freedom with respect to the placement of the fuel-water separator assembly. The disclosed containment systems can be readily accessed for maintenance of the fuel-water separator. In some embodiments, the disclosed containment system is provided as a kit for retrofitting of existing watercraft.

Abstract: A method and system for operating an aircraft on-board water supply and distribution system for supplying water includes a central water tank, first consumer assembly with a supply device and buffer tank to supply fluid via the supply device. Each buffer tank has a treatment inlet for receiving a treatment medium into the buffer tank. A pump has an upstream side and downstream side to operate in a supply mode and reverse mode, and a high pressure conduit system. The central water tank is connected to the pump's upstream side, and the high pressure conduit system connects the downstream side with the first consumer assembly, the conduit system configured so the pump operating in supply mode can supply fluid from the downstream side to the buffer tank of each first consumer assembly, and in reverse mode can draw fluid from the high pressure conduit system towards the upstream side.

Abstract: An autonomous water treatment system can include a vessel comprising one or more thrusters, a base, and a dome. The base and the dome can form a housing when attached to each other, and the thrusters can be configured to rotate to steer the vessel. The treatment system can include solar panels mounted on an exterior surface of the dome, and batteries disposed inside the housing. The batteries can be recharged by energy generated by the solar panels. The treatment system can include a gas infusion system disposed inside in the housing. The gas infusion system can be configured to receive a flow of water from a body of water, infuse said flow of water with oxygen, remove dissolved nitrogen from said flow of water, and return the oxygen infused water to the body of water under pressure to propel the vessel along the body of water.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a biocide generating system for inhibiting bio-fouling within a water system of a watercraft. The water system is configured to draw water from a body of water on which the watercraft is supported. The biocide generating system includes an electrode arrangement adapted to be incorporated as part of an electrolytic cell through which the water of the water system flows. The water system is configured such that biocide treated water also flows to one or more components of the water system that are positioned upstream of the electrode arrangement.

Abstract: A method for operating an on-board water supply and distribution system of an aircraft for supplying water includes a central tank, consumer assemblies with a supply device and a buffer tank, pump operable in a supply mode and reverse mode, filter device, and high-pressure conduit system. The central tank connects to the pump's upstream side. The conduit system connects the downstream side and consumer assemblies. The pump in supply mode delivers water from the downstream side to the buffer tank. In reverse mode, the pump can convey water from the downstream side to the upstream side. The method includes operating the pump in supply mode so water from the central tank goes to a consumer assembly in a first time interval to fill the buffer tank, and operating the pump in reverse mode in a second time interval so water from the buffer tank passes through the filter device.
