Abstract: A method for automatic facial impression transformation includes extracting landmark points for elements of a target face whose facial impression is to be transformed as well as distance vectors respectively representing distances of the landmark points, comparing the distance vectors to select a learning data set similar to the target face from a database, extracting landmark points and distance vectors from the learning data set, transforming a local feature of the target face based on the landmark points of the learning data set and score data for a facial impression, and transforming a global feature of the target face based on the distance vectors of the learning data set and the score data for the facial impression. Accordingly, a facial impression may be transformed in various ways while keeping an identity of a corresponding person.

Abstract: The present invention relates to SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) method and apparatus robust to a wireless environment change. A relative position of a moving node is estimated based on motion sensing of the moving node, the relative position of the moving node is corrected based on a comparison between a change pattern of at least one signal strength received over a plurality of time points and a signal strength distribution in a region in which the moving node is located, a route of the region is represented by using the relative position corrected as described above, and thereby, it is possible accurately estimate a position of the moving node and to create a map in which very accurate route information is recorded throughout the entire region at the same time, even if a wireless environment change such as signal interference between communication channels, expansion of an access point, and occurrence of a failure or an obstacle is made or a poor wireless environment such as lack of the number of access points occurs.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a method for manufacturing a graphene electro-optic modulator, which is freely attachable to and detachable from an optical waveguide and modulates a light according to an electric signal. The method includes: forming two metal electrodes on an oxide film formed on a substrate, the two metal electrodes being spaced apart from each other; synthesizing a first graphene film at a metal foil; coating the first graphene film with a polymer membrane; removing the metal foil at which the first graphene film is synthesized; and transferring the first graphene film coated with the polymer membrane onto the oxide film, wherein the first graphene film is electrically connected to any one of the two metal electrodes. There is also provided a graphene electro-optic modulator manufactured by the method.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an ink composition containing a multifunctional adhesive suitable for a three-dimensional (3D) printer and the use thereof. The multifunctional adhesive of the present invention contains a compound with a catechol group and exhibits excellent adhesion to various materials (e.g. dry plaster powders, polymers, metals, ceramics, and composite materials). The use of the ink composition of the present invention containing the multifunctional adhesive enables the processing of various functional materials that were difficult to fabricate into a 3D structure. Therefore, it is highly likely that the ink composition of the present invention can effectively create a market for functional materials for a 3D printer and find new areas of application (e.g. automotive, medical, fashion, aviation/aerospace, construction, consumer electronics, entertainment, etc.).
