Abstract: The present invention relates to joined silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics and a method for processing the same. And, most particularly, the joined silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics and the method for processing the same provide a method for processing joined silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics including the steps of sintering silicon carbide substrates configuring the joined ceramics, processing a joined silicon carbide ceramics preparation by layering a non-sintered silicon carbide bond having a same composition as the silicon carbide substrate between at least two substrates selected from the sintered silicon carbide substrates, and processing the joined silicon carbide ceramics by performing heat treatment on the joined silicon carbide ceramics preparation. According to the above-described invention, by using a bond having the same composition as the silicon carbide substrate, since residual stress-free joined ceramics can be processed, joined silicon carbide ceramics having a high strength corresponding to 65 to 190% of a strength of the substrate may be processed.

A method of performing a Fourier transform may include generating intermediate data by performing a one-dimensional fast Fourier transform (1D FFT) on data in a column direction, storing the intermediate data in a cell array in the column direction, reading out the intermediate data from the cell array in a row direction; and generating final data by performing a 1D FFT on the read-out intermediate data.

Abstract: An underground heat exchange system is provided to reduce energy consumption for circulation of a heat transfer medium and reduce construction, management, and maintenance costs. The underground heat exchange system includes: a double-pipe heat exchanger that is buried underground to convert a heat transfer medium into a usable form; a medium collector that collects the heat transfer medium that has dispersed its heat via a heat consumption area to circulate the same to the ground heat exchanger; and a plurality of circulation loops. The medium collector includes first and second reservoirs that are arranged in two tiers: upper and lower, spaced apart from each other, an upstream pump is provided in a first circulation loop between the first and second reservoirs, and the second reservoir is placed higher than the first reservoir. The ground heat exchanger may enhance heat exchange efficiency by increasing the contact area and time between the ground and the heat transfer medium.

A relay device for quantum cryptography authentication includes an optical receiver unit, an optical transmission unit, and a processor. Abstract: Disclosed are a quantum system-based image pattern recognition computation apparatus and method for machine vision and a quantum system-based machine vision apparatus. The computation apparatus recognizes patterns between images in machine vision by using a quantum system. The computation apparatus includes a modeling unit and an interpretation unit. The modeling unit sets up an objective function based on the similarity between a first pattern derived from the relationships between points of interests of a first image and a second pattern derived from the relationships between points of interests of a second image. The interpretation unit finds an optimum first pattern and an optimum second pattern, in which the similarity between the first pattern and the second pattern is optimized, by interpreting a final quantum state obtained through an adiabatic evolution process of the quantum system in which the objective function is optimized.
