Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system. A method for monitoring UE reachability may include receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity, a monitoring request message for UE reachability including a maximum response time from a Home Subscriber Server, detecting, by the MME, the UE reachability if it is expected that paging is able to be transmitted to UE when extended Discontinuous Reception is applied to the UE, and sending, by the MME, a UE reachability notification to a Service Capability Exposure Function before a next paging occasion of the UE, wherein the maximum response time may indicate a time during which the UE maintains a reachable state so that downlink data is reliably delivered to the UE, and wherein an occasion when the UE reachability notification is transmitted may be determined by taking into consideration the maximum response time.

Abstract: Provided is a method for handling a packet data unit (PDU) session establishment procedure. The method may performed by an access and mobility management function (AMF) node and comprise: determining whether to reject a PDU session establishment request. The determination may be performed if the PDU session establishment request includes an existing PDU session identifier. Based on the existing PDU session identifier, an identifier of a session management function (SMF) node may be acquired. The PDU session establishment request may be accepted, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node and the AMF node belong to a same PLMN. The PDU session establishment request may be further accepted, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node belongs to a HPLMN. The PDU session establishment request may be rejected, if it is determined based the identifier of the SMF node that the SMF node and the AMF node do not belong to the same PLMN or the SMF node does not belong to the HPLMN.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for cell granularity reporting in a wireless communication system and a device therefor. The method for performing cell granularity reporting by a user equipment (UE) in an idle state in a wireless communication system includes receiving a cell granularity reporting configuration from a network, detecting whether a cell in which the UE is camping in the idle state is changed, and when it is detected that the cell in which the UE is camping is changed, transmitting cell change information to the network, wherein the cell granularity reporting configuration includes an indication regarding whether to receive a multimedia broadcast and multicast service (MBMS), and when the indication regarding whether an MBMS is received is activated, the UE does not perform the cell granularity reporting unless the UE receives MBMS data.

Abstract: One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for a proxy-call session control function (P-CSCF) to obtain an identifier of a visited public land mobile network (V-PLMN) in order to register a user equipment (UE) roaming in the V-PLMN into an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a response message from an Interrogating-CSCF (I-CSCF) in response to the transmission of a REGISTER message for registering a user equipment into an IMS network; determining whether the received response message is a 401 unauthorized message; when the received response message is a 401 unauthorized message, transmitting the response message to the user equipment and generating an interface for transmitting and receiving data to and from an entity of an EPC network; and receiving an identifier of the V-PLMN from the entity of the EPC network.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present specification provides a method for selecting or reselecting a relay for a proximity service. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, by user equipment (UE) which is to receive a relay service, synchronization signals from a plurality of other UEs capable of operating as relays; and receiving, by the UE, announce messages from the plurality of other UEs capable of operating as the relays. Here, the announce messages from each of the other UEs can contain relay type information on whether to support a UE-to-network relay service, packet data network (PDN)/access point name (APN) information, and service/group information. The method further comprises the steps of: generating, by the UE, a candidate relay list on the basis of the relay type information, the PDN/APN information, and the service/group information within the announce messages received from the plurality of other UEs; and selecting or reselecting, by the UE, one of the other UEs within the candidate relay list in consideration of relay type, PDN/APN, and service/group information necessary for a service of the UE.

Abstract: The present description discloses a method for performing network selection and traffic routing by a mobility management entity (MME). The method comprises the steps of: if a request for a public data network (PDN) connection is received from a user equipment (UE), an MME deciding whether or not the PDN connection is to be offloaded to a wireless local area network (WLAN) on the basis of an indication for WLAN offloadability obtained from a home subscriber server (HSS); the MME transmitting to the UE a message comprising information about a network-based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM) function and the decision result with respect to the PDN connection; and the MME transmitting the decision result with respect to the PDN connection to a PDN gateway (P-GW) and/or a policy and charging rules function (PCRF), wherein the decision result with respect to the PDN connection and the information about the NBIFOM function can be used for triggering any one of the UE, P-GW and PCRF such that the NBIFOM function is suspended or resumed.
