Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to address inter-cell interference in a heterogeneous network. In one embodiment, a system is disclosed, comprising: a coordinating node situated between a radio access network and a core network; and a first base station in the radio access network in communication with the coordinating node, wherein: the coordinating node has a coordinating scheduler with a first scheduling period; the first base station has a first base station scheduler with a second scheduling period shorter than the first scheduling period; the coordinating scheduler is configured to send a resource reservation list and a resource restriction list to the first base station scheduler once during each first scheduling period; and the first base station is configured to receive the resource reservation list and the resource restriction list and to use the resource reservation list and the resource restriction list when performing mobile device resource scheduling.

Abstract: A method is disclosed, comprising: collecting, at an in-vehicle base station, reports from a plurality of user equipments (UEs); storing, at the in-vehicle base station, reports collected from the plurality of UEs into a database; forwarding, from the in-vehicle base station to a coordinating server, stored reports into the database; performing, at the coordinating server, data analysis of the received reports; and sending, from the coordinating server to a base station, an instruction to update at least one configuration parameter of the base station, thereby improving data collection and data processing for radio frequency cell optimization.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling a mesh network node to switch from a base station role to a user equipment role relative to a second mesh network node, and vice versa. By switching roles in this manner, the mesh network node may be able to benefit from increased uplink or downlink speed in the new role. This role reversal technique is particularly useful when using wireless protocols such as LTE that are asymmetric and allow differing throughput on uplink and downlink connections. Methods for determining whether to perform role reversal are disclosed, and methods for using role reversal in mesh networks comprising greater than two nodes are also disclosed.

Abstract: In this invention, we disclose a multimedia streaming base station used preferably in a wireless communication network. The multimedia streaming base station is capable of capturing, storing, encoding, and transmitting multimedia via a local multimedia capture device. The multimedia base station can be a heterogeneous multi-RAT node, in which case the wireless communication network could be a heterogeneous mesh network. The multimedia base station could by a dynamic mesh node in alternate embodiments. Additional embodiments of the present invention include methods for facilitating streaming of locally captured multimedia content.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a self-calibrating and self-adjusting network are disclosed. A method is disclosed, comprising: receiving mobile device measurement reports from a mobile device at a gateway situated between a radio access network (RAN) and a core network via a base station in the RAN; determining a location of the mobile device at a measurement time of the mobile device measurement reports; associating the location with the mobile device measurement reports into a measurement record; storing a plurality of measurement records obtained over a time period and over multiple mobile devices; and providing query access to the plurality of measurement records by retrieving results corresponding to a plurality of search parameters transmitted to the gateway.

Abstract: Systems and methods relating to full duplex mesh networks are disclosed. In one embodiment, a mesh network comprising a first base station may be disclosed, the first base station comprising: a first transceiver for transmitting and receiving to and from the first base station on the single frequency band; and a second transceiver for transmitting and receiving to and from a second base station on the single frequency band, each transceiver of each transceiver node performing self-interference cancellation to send and receive full duplex data on the single frequency band at substantially the same time, thereby enabling the creation of a mesh network with at least one transceiver node having both access and backhaul using only the single frequency band.
