Abstract:
A cleaning solvent composition comprises from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, and from about 85 to 99.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents. Other cleaning solvent compositions further comprise one or more alcohols. For example, such alcohol-containing compositions may comprise from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, from about 2 to about 25 weight percent of one or more alcohols, and from about 25 to about 97.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are aqueous cleaning compositions comprising at least one surfactant, at least one modified acrylic polyamide present in the aqueous cleaning composition in an amount ranging from about 0.05% to about 2% by weight of the composition, and dipropylene glycol butyl ether. The cleaning compositions disclosed herein will provide low residue and increased shine and will provide long-lasting, persistent anti-fog properties to a substrate after cleaning. Also disclosed herein are methods of cleaning a substrate comprising applying the aqueous cleaning composition to the substrate and wiping, and the use of at least one surfactant, at least one modified acrylic polyamide, and dipropylene glycol butyl ether in an aqueous cleaning composition to provide shine, low residue, and persistent anti-fog properties to a substrate.
Abstract:
A process for fermenting and recycling food waste that is fully enclosed, eliminating noxious odors, and therefore installable in a wide variety of urban settings at scale. Generally the steps of the process include intake, shredding and grinding, inoculation and acceleration, heterolactic fermentation, separation of solids and liquids, drying and distillation, and post-processing of liquid and solid byproducts. The result of the process includes useful goods such as nutrient-rich soil fertilizer, household cleaning agent, energy in the form of current or hydrogen, and treated water. The process is energy efficient and self-contained, resulting in the processing of food waste within 7 days, thus dramatically reducing the time of traditional fermentation processes to produce desired byproducts.
Abstract:
In a method for making a tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-methylammonium methylsulfate fatty acid ester by quaternizing a tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-amine fatty acid ester with dimethylsulfate the quaternizing is carried out in the presence of a solid acid scavenger. The method can provide a fabric softener active composition, comprising from 65 to 98% by weight of at least one tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-methylammonium methylsulfate fatty acid ester, the corresponding non-quaternized tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-amine fatty acid esters in amounts providing a total amine number of the composition of from 2 to less than 7 mg KOH/g, and from 1 to 1500 ppm methanol.
Abstract:
A rapid drying cleaning solution comprises a chelating agent, a detergent, base, alcohol, and water. This cleaning solution can optionally contain fragrances and coloring agents, and can clean a variety of surfaces including natural and engineered wood, ceramic, cement, natural stone, man-made composites, porcelain floors, and other surfaces such as steel, stainless steel, other metallic compositions, ceramic, porcelain, wood and engineered wood countertops, followed by rapid drying of the surface being cleaned.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a transparent solid detergent containing (A) N-acyl acidic amino acid salt, (B) acylglycine salt and (C) polyvalent alcohol, at a proportion of (A) 4.5-5000 parts by weight and (C) 2.5-2400 parts by weight, per 1 part by weight of (B), which suppresses coloration by heating during production, is superior in preservation stability at low temperature and high temperature, is low irritant, and shows good sense of use.

Abstract:
The use of an alcohol in a liquid cleaning composition including surfactant, for cleaning hydrophobic stains from surfaces and/or for providing suds longevity, wherein the alcohol is selected from the group consisting of: C4-C6 linear mono-alcohols, branched C4-C10 mono-alcohols having one or more C1-C4 branching groups, alkyl mono-glycerols, and mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
An acetone deficient composition including at least one polyol, at least one alkyl carbonate, at least one monoalcohol and optionally at least one hydrocarbon based non-volatile oil is provided.
Abstract:
A mixture of ethanol and lactate esters have enhanced cleaning properties for food and biological processing applications and this mixture retains bacteriostatic properties during the cleaning process as well as in the used cleaning solutions after rinsing and dilution with water.
