Abstract:
A device for testing connectivity is provided. The device includes a first connector including a contact pin and a spacer for biasing the contact pin away from a spring contact pin of a second connector, when the first connector is inserted into the second connector. The device also includes an indicator, coupled to the contact pin of the first connector, for indicating whether the contact pin of the first connector is in contact with the spring contact pin of the second connector.
Abstract:
A portable connector for power line networking. The connector includes a single AC connector, which has at least a first prong and a second prong (which will be plugged into a conventional connector device). The connector also has at least a first pair of wires coupled to the single AC connector. The first pair of wires includes a first wire coupled to the first prong and a second wire coupled to the second prong. A hardware module is coupled to the first pair of wires, which are adapted to transmit a plurality of AC signals corresponding to AC power from the AC connector and a plurality data signals from the AC connector. A single DC connector is coupled to the hardware module. A single network connector is also coupled to the hardware module.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for crosstalk compensation in a jack of a modular communications connector includes a flexible printed circuit board connected to jack contacts and to connections to a network cable. The flexible printed circuit board includes conductive traces arranged as one or more couplings to provide crosstalk compensation.
Abstract:
A computer management apparatus is provided for interconnecting a user console including peripheral devices such as a keyboard, a video display unit, a mouse, and speakers for connecting to a plurality of host computers, selectively accessed via the user console (“KVMA cartridge”). The host computers interface with the KVMA cartridge via a removable edge connector with a first set of cables that attach to the plurality of host computers. The KVMA cartridge connects to the edge connector via a leading edge of a circuit board having a plurality of traces on the leading edge with electrical leads connected to a switching circuit within the KVMA cartridge. In one embodiment, the user may increase the length of the first set of cables by inserting an extension cartridge with a second set of cables between the KVMA cartridge and the edge connector with the first set of cables.
Abstract:
A PCB mountable module includes logic circuitry that translates between serial and wireless communication protocols. Supported standards include I2C, CAN, ProfiBus, SPI, and USB, IP, ARP, UDP, TCP, ICMP, Telnet, TFTP, AutoIP, DHCP, HTTP, and SNMP. Modules can optionally provide security, MILARRS functionality, and web related services such as email alert. The novel modules can be used wherever a device designer wants a plug-in (or “drop-in”) system that obviates the need for independent development and maintenance of wireless capability. Examples include servers, desktop and laptop computers, and even devices such as kitchen appliances with relatively simpler electronics.
Abstract:
A cable is disclosed which include a first connector, a second connector, a primary flexible cable segment coupled to the first connector at a first location on the primary flexible cable segment and to the second connector at a second location on the primary flexible cable segment, and a third connector coupled to the primary flexible cable segment at a third location between the first and second locations on the primary flexible cable segment.
Abstract:
An automatic sensing power system automatically determines a power requirement for an electrical device, converts power to the required level, and outputs the power to the electrical device when the electrical device is connected to the automatic sensing power system
Abstract:
A communication adapter for wall-mounting panel to provide better fastness, easy structure, lower production costs and powerful utility includes a casing comprised of an upper lid and a lower lid, a circuit board in the casing, plug and socket connecting to the circuit board, and locking hole on the lower lid to secure the upper lid to the lower lid with a locking pin; a locking tongue being disposed to the lower lid and a hole on the upper lid to allow pulling the locking tongue.
