Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of strobilurin type compounds of formula I and the N-oxides and the salts thereof for combating phytopathogenic fungi containing an amino acid substitution F129L in the mitochondrial cytochrome b protein (also referred to as F129L mutation in the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene) conferring resistance to Qo inhibitors, and to methods for combating such fungi. The invention also relates to novel compounds, processes for preparing these compounds, to compositions comprising at least one such compound, and to seeds coated with at least one such compound.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a process for making a lithiated transition metal oxide, said process comprising the following steps:
(a) providing a precursor selected from mixed oxides, hydroxides, oxyhydroxides, and carbonates of nickel and at least one transition metal selected from manganese and cobalt, wherein at least 45 mole-% of the cations of the precursor are Ni cations,
(b) mixing said precursor with at least one lithium salt selected from LiOH, Li2O, Li2CO3, and LiNO3, thereby obtaining a mixture,
(c) adding at least one phosphorus compound of general formula (I)

wherein
X is selected from NH4 and Li,
y is 1 or 2,
to the mixture obtained in step (b),
wherein steps (b) and (c) may be performed consecutively or simultaneously,
(d) treating the mixture so obtained at a temperature in the range of from 650 to 950° C.-

Abstract: A curing accelerator composition for building chemical mixtures comprises a mineral constituent and a polymeric water-soluble dispersant. The mineral constituent comprises a semi-ordered calcium silicate hydrate having an apparent crystallite size of 15 nm or less and less than 35% by weight of crystalline phases other than the semi-ordered calcium silicate hydrate. The composition displays a more pronounced accelerating effect than comparative compositions in which the mineral component comprises a calcium silicate hydrate having a higher degree of crystallinity.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions comprising a) an antimicrobial agent, which is selected from the group consisting of biocides containing halogen atoms and/or containing phenolic moieties, formic acid, chlorine dioxide, chlorine dioxide generating compounds, dialdehydes; components containing an antimicrobial metal such as antimicrobial silver, and b) a polyamine, especially a polyethylenimine. The polyamine is effective as a booster for the antimicrobial agent.
