Abstract:
A cabriolet top for a cabriolet vehicle for displacement between a closed position covering a vehicle interior and a storage position opening up the vehicle interior is proposed, comprising a pivotably mounted cabriolet-top linkage on which a rigid cabriolet-top element is arranged, said cabriolet-top element extending in the transverse direction of the vehicle, being adjacent, in the closed position of the cabriolet top, to a transverse post bounding a windscreen at the top, and, together with the cabriolet-top linkage, stretches open a foldable cabriolet-top cloth and, in the storage position of the cabriolet top, is arranged on the upper side in a cabriolet-top storage compartment such that the cabriolet-top cloth runs downwardly over a rear border of the cabriolet-top element. A rod is arranged on the cabriolet-top cloth on the rear side of the rigid cabriolet-top element, said rod extending between the border regions on both sides of the cabriolet top and, in the storage position of the cabriolet top, pre-stressing the cabriolet-top cloth downwardly in such a manner that, in a region visible from the outside of the vehicle, said cabriolet-top cloth runs at least substantially crease-free downwardly over the rear border of the cabriolet-top element into the cabriolet-top storage compartment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vehicle roof (10) comprising at least one at least partially transparent roof part (14) that can be moved in order to at least partly open a roof opening (17), and a blind (20) which allows the movable roof part (14) to be covered from below at least in the closed position of the roof part (14). Said blind (20) is equipped with a blind web (22), an extensible hoop that is arranged at the front edge of the blind web (22), and a blind shaft (26) for winding up the blind web (22). The extensible hoop (24) is coupled to an electric driving motor via a dog so as to displace the extensible hoop along a guide. In order to make the vehicle roof more comfortable to operate, the extensible hoop (24) is removably coupled to a dog which is connected to the driving motor such that the blind (20) can be operated with the aid of the driving motor and can be displaced manually without being coupled to the driving motor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a roof module for a vehicle, which can be mounted from above in an opening in the bodywork and which comprises a rigid outer shell (12), in addition to at least one electric functional unit (16), which is pre-installed on the underside of the outer shell by means of a support unit (14). The electric functional unit (16) can be displaced by means of said support unit (14) between a mounting position, in which the electric functional unit can be introduced into the bodywork opening and a functional position, in which at least part of the electric functional unit can be placed against a limit (22) of the bodywork opening. The invention also relates to a method for mounting a roof module of this type.
Abstract:
A folding top for a convertible is proposed, comprising a folding-top cloth (16) and a folding-top linkage (14) which is provided on both sides with a main link (28) which is mounted on a main bearing (26) and to which a frame part (38), which extends substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the closed position of the top, and an intermediate link (44) are coupled. A front, rigid folding-top element (22) is connected via a first folding-top element link (58) to the intermediate link (44) and via a second folding-top element link (60) to the frame part (38). According to the invention, means are provided on the folding-top linkage (14), said means bringing about a continuous slowing-down of the front, rigid folding-top element (22) during the sequence of movement of the top from a storage position to the closed position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a panel device for a sliding roof arrangement of a vehicle, having a panel element for closing a gap between a frame of the sliding roof arrangement and an externally-guided sliding cover when the latter is situated in a ventilator position, having a holding element in which the panel element can be at least partially held, having an actuating element which deploys the panel element relative to the holding element in a first direction, and having force absorbing means, by means of which a force which acts in a second direction perpendicularly on a side of the panel element and perpendicularly to the first direction can be absorbed.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a shutter system designed for a shutter (4) mounted on a vehicle body so as to be mobile relative thereto. The invention is characterized in that the shutter is maintained at least at one of its two lateral ends by a quadruple hinge mechanism formed by two main hinge elements (10, 12) which are mounted pivotable on the body (8), and a linking hinge element (16) which links together the free ends of the main hinge elements; and an adjusting motor (22) is mounted on the shutter itself, to move at least one of the quadruple hinge mechanisms. According to the invention, at least one main hinge element (10) of one quadruple hinge mechanism, is secured to the shutter or is a component of the shutter, and the linking hinge element (16) is pivotable relative to the adjusting motor means (22).
Abstract:
A composite reinforcement for a vehicle roof opening that provides several advantages over the prior art metal ring design. The reinforcement is a composite bonded to the roof, can be polyurethane, and may include fiberglass, such as long fiber injection (LFI) or glass fiber mat. A honeycomb core can also be disposed within the polyurethane made from cardboard or aluminum. Steel inserts can also be formed within the composite to provide attachment points for a variety of functions, such as sunroof module, structural brackets, and locating assemblies. The steel inserts can have external threads to allow composite material to physically capture the insert during formation of the reinforcement. This roof assembly can be mounted to the vehicle in an optimized manner for ease of assembly, color matching, and to provide structure to support a mounted sunroof assembly.
Abstract:
A locking device for a movable motor vehicle part (2), especially a movable roof part of a vehicle roof which can be opened, has a locking element (3) for fixing the vehicle part (2) in the end position of motion, a pivoting support (5) which can be pivoted between a rest position and an operating position. The locking element (3) is movably supported on the pivoting support (5), and is covered on the visible side by the pivoting support (5) when it is in a rest position. When the vehicle part (2) has moved into the end position of its motion, it is supported by the pivoting support which has pivoted into the operating position (5), and in this position, is fixed by the locking element. The locking element is covered on the visible side by the pivoting support when it is in the rest position.
