    摘要: A vertical decoupler assembly for a hydraulic mount including a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber includes a travel plate defining an interior space for receiving a removable vertical decoupler assembly. The vertical decoupler assembly includes an elastically deformable and tubular shaped diaphragm for dampening small vibrations across the mount. The vertical decoupler assembly may include an inner cage and an outer cage, each including a rigid, perforated, tubular wall disposed on either side of the diaphragm for limiting its radial deflection in each direction. The vertical decoupler assembly may include a rigid lower insert having an inverted cup shape with a second rim sealingly engaging the diaphragm and secured to the inner and outer cages. The decoupler diaphragm also includes a flange and a ring-shaped upper insert for nesting within and sealing against a throat at the upper end of the travel plate.

The valve body (52) moves into sealing engagement with the retainer (46) in response to the bumper (68) engaging the guide (40). This causes the damping fluid (32) to move exclusively through the valve body (52) providing additional damping force.

    摘要: An air management system and method are provided. The system includes a compressor and a reservoir tank coupled to the compressor. A manifold block has a plurality of valves and is coupled to the reservoir tank and the compressor for controlling air flow. At least one pressure sensor is coupled to the manifold block. The compressor includes a boost valve for selectively directly connecting the reservoir tank and an air inlet of the compressor. An electronic control unit is coupled to the valves, compressor, and the at least one pressure sensor and is configured to provide pressurized air from the reservoir tank to the air inlet, determine a pressure difference between the manifold block and the boost valve, and retain pressure in the manifold block in response to the pressure difference being less than a predetermined amount to reduce startup torque of the compressor without exhausting the manifold block.

The narrowed end section has a second predetermined wall thickness less than the first predetermined wall thickness of the extended main section. An intermediate conical section, connecting the narrowed end section and the extended main section, has an intermediate conical section wall thickness equal to the second predetermined wall thickness at an internal inclination angle relative to the center axis. A method for manufacturing the damper housing using a preformed tube, a first broaching die, a calibrating mandrel, and a swaging die is performed by compressing the preformed tube between the first broaching die and the narrowed head of the calibrating mandrel and compressing the preformed tube between the swaging die and the intermediary section of the calibrating mandrel to form the narrowed end section and the intermediate conical section, respectively.

    摘要: The invention provides for a brake pad apparatus for connecting to a brake assembly of a motor vehicle. The brake pad apparatus includes a backing plate that extends along a first plane and has an inside surface and an outside surface. A liner is connected to the inside surface of the backing plate for contacting the rotor for creating a frictional force against the rotor to slow the motor vehicle. An insulating layer is connected to the outside surface of the backing plate for providing heat and noise insulation during contact of the liner against the rotor. At least one projection extends from the outside surface of the backing plate through the insulating layer, and past the insulating layer for being engaged by a pressing member of the brake assembly for compressing the liner against the rotor of the brake assembly.

    摘要: A fluid damper assembly for use in a vehicle includes a piston subassembly which includes a plurality of inflow passages and at least one rebound disk for restricting flow of hydraulic fluid through the inflow passages. A rod extends through the piston subassembly to actuate the piston subassembly between a rebound stroke and a compression stroke. An actuator supported by and within the rod includes a piezoelectric device and an amplifier for adjusting the damping force during the rebound stroke, thereby adjusting the suspension of the vehicle. A shaft within the rod is connected to a retainer to transmit motion from the amplifier to compress a spring and disengage the retainer from the rebound disk to allow the rebound disk to flex solely in response to hydraulic fluid pressure from the rebound stroke to open the inflow passages and reduce the damping force during the rebound stroke.
