Control circuitry is preferably provided in the body and the door of the vehicle for supervising and carrying out the foregoing functions in an orderly manner in response to requests generated locally at the door or remotely by the driver from the console of the vehicle. A second, simpler, control system provides electrically-actuated mechanisms for unlatching the door and operating the door lock without the use of either a wireless communication system or a retractable electrical cable interconnecting the sliding door to the vehicle body.

    摘要: A quick-connect fitting or coupling assembly is adapted for releasably connecting and disconnecting a pair of fluid conduits in fluid communication with one another. The assembly includes a socket on one of the fluid conduits for receiving the other fluid conduit inserted longitudinally therein into a releasable interlocking engagement with one or more resilient barbs or retainer finger members on a retainer member removably disposed within the socket. The assembly also preferably includes lateral support members for laterally supporting the fluid conduits relative to one another and thus strengthening the connection therebetween. The assembly also includes a feature in which the retainer member is interconnectable with the socket in a releasable interlocking engagement, preferably by way of one or more resilient locking finger members that are resiliently biased laterally outwardly with tabs that engage complementary openings in the socket member when the retainer member is inserted into the socket member. A release member is also provided for selective slidable engagement with the resilient retainer finger members in order to release the inserted fluid conduit from the retainer member.

    摘要: A solenoid valve has a body with a fluid passage extending longitudinally at least partially through the body. Each of supply, control, and exhaust ports is disposed through the body and operably connected to the passage (the supply port also introducing fluid medium from a pressure source). Among the ports, there is a valve member operably disposed in the passage. A bore extends at least partially through the member. A metering orifice connects the passage or exhaust port with the bore. A solenoid portion has a coil with an armature movable within the portion in response to energization of the coil, and a shaft is connected to the armature. The shaft extends partially into the body and directly contacts the member, and the energization of the coil causes the shaft to slide within the solenoid portion and move the member in response to movement of the armature within the portion.

    摘要: A solenoid operated valve is connected in series with a resistor and a PTC thermistor. Upon coil energization, the armature moves to close the valve member against a valve seat and further armature movement to close an air gap with a pole piece is absorbed by a spring between the armature and valve member. Upon closure of the air gap, the magnetic reluctance between the armature and pole piece is decreased such that significantly less current is required in the coil to hold the valve closed. Upon heating of the thermistor, the resistance is increased sufficiently to reduce the current to the hold-close level and less power is required thereafter to maintain the valve closed. The valve is applied to on-board vehicle diagnostic procedures performed after engine shut-down where current must be minimized to prevent battery drain to a level preventing re-start.

A solenoid operated atmospheric bleed valve has a boss with a restrictor outlet which is quick-connected and seated in the well for electrically controlling vent flow into the vacuum signal chamber. The restrictor limits atmospheric bleed flow to attenuate the effects of sudden changes in the vacuum signal.

    摘要: A fuel vapor canister purge control valve assembly has an electric valve and a pressure regulator valve for connection at its inlet to a canister fluidically in series in a common housing. The electric valve has a spherical magnetically permeable operator biased closed against the seat by a balanced rotary armature. A C-shaped solenoid pole frame defines diametrally oppositely disposed radial working air gaps with the armature. Upon PWM energization of the solenoid, the armature rotation permits the spherical valve member to move from the seat to open the valve. A venturi is formed in the electric valve inlet and the venturi throat has a pressure tap connected to provide a reference pressure for one side of the pressure regulator diaphragm. The opposite side of the regulator diaphragm has an elastomeric obturator and is exposed to the outlet pressure of the electric valve. The elastomeric obturator is moveable with respect to another valve seat for controlling flow to the outlet for connection to an engine inlet manifold.
