Abstract:
Screening a traditional telephony call made by a calling party to a called party includes receiving, over a telephone network, the traditional telephony call from the calling party at a messaging service platform, recording an audio message from the calling party as audio data, and transmitting the audio data from the messaging service platform to a computer of the called party while the calling party is leaving the audio message. Before the calling party finishes leaving the audio message, the called party perceives the transmitted audio data and reacts to the traditional telephony call in response to the audio message.
Abstract:
A test probe apparatus having a housing and a probe pin is provided. The housing includes a first housing end portion having a round tapered wall defining a tapered cavity. The probe pin includes a pin base portion rigidly mounted to the housing and a pin tip portion movably mounted to the housing for movement between a first position and a second position. At the first position, the pin tip portion is disposed in a spaced-apart relationship with the pin base portion and protrudes into the tapered cavity. At the second position, the pin tip portion is moved toward the pin base portion relative to the first position.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Pisum sativum variety that contains a recessive gene called the bsg gene and produces peas that exhibit an elevated level of sucrose and a decreased level of alcohol insoluble solids when compared to peas produced from a Pisum sativum variety that does not contain the bsg gene within its genome.
Abstract:
A method of lining a pipe with settable material including the steps of arranging the pipe with its longitudinal axis inclined at an angle to the horizontal, introducing a selected amount of liquid material into the pipe at a predetermined rate so that the liquid material flows down along the pipe, shifting the pipe to a horizontal position and spinning the pipe about its axis to distribute the material, spinning continuing until the material has set. The method is particularly applicable for lining pipes with polyurethane. For pipes with end flanges end faces of the lining material can be formed integral with the lining.
Abstract:
A method of lining a pipe with thermosetting synthetic plastics material including the steps of arranging the pipe with its longitudinal axis inclined at an acute angle to the horizontal, introducing liquid lining material into the pipe at a predetermined rate for a predetermined time, shifting the pipe to a horizontal position shortly before or at the completion of introduction of the liquid material, spinning the pipe about its axis and blowing hot air axially through the pipe after spinning has started but before the lining material has set thereby to remove entrained air bubbles. The method is particularly applicable for lining pipes with polyurethane, especially pipes with end flanges and covers to form an end face of the lining material.
Abstract:
An improved method for telecommunication analysis and monitoring employing a logic analyzer device. The logic analyzer device provides a plurality of concurrent graphic depictions of different electronic signals under differing electronic protocols for signal error determination on a communications channel. Error source determination is enabled through the provided concurrent depiction of digital and analog signal characteristics in the differing protocols, including digital data packets, signal voltages and timing. Through this concurrent depiction the user can visually discern potential causation for electronic communication errors caused by non-continuous signal anomalies affecting one or more of the protocols.
Abstract:
A reformer exercise apparatus is disclosed that has a generally rectangular frame. The rail portions of the frame each have an upright outer wall, an integral downwardly slanted inner wall and a hidden outwardly open slot therein between the outer and inner walls. A foot bar support assembly movably carried by each of the outwardly open slots supports the foot bar. Each foot bar support assembly has an elongated slide plate movably supported within the slot, a hook plate fastened to the slide plate, and a foot bar support arm rotatably and slidably fastened to the hook plate. A pair of tubular risers each having an upper roller therein at the head end of the frame direct arm cord ends to a cord retraction assembly mounted on the carriage. The retraction assembly releases the cords by pivoting either one of the shoulder stops toward the foot end of the frame.

Abstract:
A portable electronic device including: a memory for storing information including gaming information and location information; a display for displaying at least a portion of the information stored on the memory; a first data interface for communicating with a storage server and for transmitting gaming information to and receiving gaming information from the storage server; a second data interface for communicating with at least one other adjacent portable electronic device and for transmitting location information to and receiving location information from the at least one other portable electronic device wherein the information displayed on the display is dependent at least in part on the location information.
Abstract:
The invention provides seed and plants of the bean line designated 08550815. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of bean line 08550815, and to methods for producing a bean plant produced by crossing a plant of bean line 08550815 with itself or with another bean plant, such as a plant of another line. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of a plant of bean line 08550815, including the pods and gametes of such plants.
