Abstract:
Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for varying access parameters for processes to access memory addresses in response to detecting a condition related to a pattern of processes access to memory addresses. A monitored condition is detected during application execution. An instrumentation program is invoked to monitor processes accessing data at addresses in a memory device in response to detecting the monitored condition. Information is logged on processes and the addresses they access in the memory device in response to invoking the instrumentation program. The logged information on the processes and the addresses they access is forwarded to an application analysis system in response to detecting a monitored condition during application execution.
Abstract:
Provided herein are devices and methods for mounting variously configured medical imaging probes to a tracker assembly for imaging applications. In one aspect, a tracker assembly provides multiple degrees of freedom for positioning a probe relative to a patient and/or maintaining a probe in a desired location for imaging purposes. The tracker generates location information that may be utilized as frame of reference information for acquired images. In another aspect a holding device allows for interfacing/holding differently configured probes in a common orientation to a predetermined frame of reference.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a medical imaging system that allows for real-time guidance of, for example, catheters for use in interventional procedures. In one arrangement, an imaging system is provided that generate a series of images or frames during a dye injection procedure. The system is operative to automatically detect frames that include dye (bolus frames) and frames that are free of dye (mask frames). The series of images may be registered together to provide a common reference frame and thereby account for motion. Sets of mask frames and bolus frames are averaged together, respectively, to improve signal to noise qualities. A differential image is generated utilizing the average mask and average bolus frames. Contrast of the differential image may be enhanced. The system allows for motion correction, noise reduction and/or enhancement of a differential image in real time.
Abstract:
A phosphorescent Ir complex having the following structures (I) or (II) is used as an emitter in an organic light emitting diode (OLED): wherein X is an arbitrary monoanionic bidentate ligand; Z is an arbitrary moiety constituting a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; R1 is a substituent on the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; m is 0 or a positive integer; R2 and R3 independently are H, halogen, C1-C6 alkyl, a halogen-substituted C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, phenyl C1-C6 alkyl, amino, aryl, heterocyclic aryl substituent.
Abstract:
A method of restoring processes within a process domain begins with a step of restoring a tree of processes in which at least two of the processes share at least a resource. The method continues with a step of restoring a checkpoint state of each resource used by the processes after a time when a possible need for a restoration state of the resource exists. According to an embodiment, the restoration state comprises information used by the method during the step of restoring the tree of processes. According to another embodiment, the restoration state comprises information used by the method during the step of restoring the checkpoint state of one or more particular resources. The method concludes with a step of resuming execution of each process after restoration of the checkpoint state of the resources used by the process.
Abstract:
Apparatus and systems, as well as methods and articles, may operate to update an executable image associated with a network client basic input-output system (BIOS) from a remote network location during a time when a state of an operating system associated with the network client comprises one of active, inactive, accessible, inaccessible, present, corrupt, and missing.
Abstract:
In embodiments, apparatuses, methods and storage media (transitory and non-transitory) are described that are associated with end-to-end datacenter performance control. In various embodiments, an apparatus for computing may receive a datacenter performance target, determine an end-to-end datacenter performance level based at least in part on quality of service data collected from a plurality of nodes, and send a mitigation command based at least in part on a result of a comparison of the end-to-end datacenter performance level determined to the datacenter performance target. In various embodiments, the apparatus for computing may include one or more processors, a memory, a datacenter performance monitor to receive a datacenter performance target corresponding to a service level agreement, and a mitigation module to send a mitigation command based at least in part on a result of a comparison of an end-to-end datacenter performance level to a datacenter performance target.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of systems and methods for data distribution to portable electronic devices are described herein. Initially a data server receives a data download request from one or more portable electronic devices. Next the requested data is divided into a plurality of data portions. Next based on an-hoc network, a data-transfer route between the one or more portable electronic devices and a plurality of portable electronic devices connected to the data server are identified. The data server then forwards the plurality of data portions to the plurality of portable electronic devices connected to the data server. Finally, based on the identified data-transfer route, the requested data from the one or more portable electronic devices to the other portable electronic devices is transferred.
Abstract:
A system and method for aircraft performance predictions for descent and approach phases are disclosed. In one embodiment, cruise computation is stopped substantially around a default distance from a destination. Further, current predicted aircraft state is determined using a total energy of the aircraft starting from the default distance. Furthermore, descent and approach phase profiles are computed using the determined current predicted aircraft state. In addition, the aircraft performance predictions are obtained using the computed descent and approach phase profiles.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to perform measurements are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein for a user equipment (UE) to perform measurements comprises receiving configuration information from a network, the configuration information to configure the UE to perform logging of measurements in an idle mode, logging measurements in the idle mode, and sending an indication that logged measurements are available.
