    摘要: In order to achieving wide dimming range for compact and tubular fluorescent lamps, two novel control approaches are proposed. (i) Novel techniques for suppressing oscillatory effects in the Triac circuit so as to maintain stable Triac operation over a wide firing angle range and (ii) a hybrid dimming control technique in the ballast inverter circuit for achieving wide dimming range from 100% to about 3%. Concerning point (i) both dissipative and non-dissipative energy absorption schemes (EAS) are proposed to suppress the transient effects in the Triac circuit when the Triac is turned on. The essence of the EAS is to ensure that the Triac circuit can be operated in a stable manner without oscillations or inadvertent turn-off. With respect to pint (ii) a hybrid dimming method is proposed in which unlike traditional control methods that use inverter frequency control only for dimming purposes, both dc link voltage and inverter frequency are varied. The essence of the new dimming control is to reduce the range of the inverter frequency variation so that the overall dimming range can be made as wide as possible.

The sensor devices include a tubular member that interface with and slidably/detachably attached to the temporary support props, and sensors on the tubular member for measuring force, inclination and position of the temporary support props for construction and demolition work. The sensor device includes a controller for processing data from the sensors. The sensor system includes a wireless device that communicates with the sensor device. The sensor system further comprises positioning device, such that precise location or position of the sensor devices may be detected/calculated by the sensor system. The monitoring system includes a server that communicates one or more sensor systems to form a network.

    摘要: A noninvasive remote parameter sensor and sensing method is provided that is particularly suited for the remote monitoring of skin temperature. The sensor and sensing method utilize luminescence-based sensors that are non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin. The sensor preferably utilizes one or more types of fluorophores that are embedded in a soft hydrogel. The sensor is illuminated with excitation light, and temperature is monitored by detecting and analyzing the emission light from the fluorophores. Because a soft hydrogel is used, the sensor can be gently wiped off the skin at the conclusion of temperature measurements.

    摘要: Aspects of the methods according to the present disclosure relate to the fabrication of diaper pants wherein discrete chassis are advanced in a machine direction such that the longitudinal axis is parallel with the machine direction. Discrete lengths of elastic belt materials are then connected with the first waist region of a first advancing chassis and the second waist region of a second advancing chassis. The lengths of elastic belt materials are cut along the cross-direction between the discrete chassis forming a first elastic belt and a second elastic belt; the chassis are subsequently folded; and the first and second elastic belts disposed on the chassis are bonded together to create a discrete diaper pant. This apparatus and process configuration forms a continuous web of articles formed by intermittently spaced chassis and intermittently spaced elastic belts bridging the gap between the intermittently spaced chassis.

    摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to tucking opposing side panels into a chassis of a diaper pant. The apparatuses and methods may utilize one or more conveyors that advance the chassis along a machine direction. Each conveyor may have a vacuum zone that applies a vacuum force to hold the chassis. The chassis may be positioned between a first conveyor having a first vacuum zone and a second conveyor having a second vacuum zone. The conveyors may apply opposing vacuum forces to hold the first waist region apart from the second waist region while the chassis advances in the machine direction toward a tucking device. The vacuum forces are then removed from the waist regions as the tucking device pushes the side panels toward each other. Pushing the side panels toward each other causes the inner surfaces of the waist regions to simultaneously move toward each other.
