Abstract:
Disclosed are an information storage medium storing metadata for providing additional content during a broadcast program, the metadata including information indicating whether to insert second additional content instead of first additional content, which is underlying additional content of the broadcast program, and a locator of the second additional content, a method of providing additional content by using the same, and a digital broadcast reception apparatus.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for providing/receiving a service from a plurality of service providers. In the method, in order to receive a service from a plurality of Internet protocol television (IPTV) service providers, a client receives information regarding at least one of a feed that syndicates web information and a web-based application from a server of a service provider selected from the IPTV service providers. Then, the client requests the server to provide a service providing at least one of the feed and the application based on the received information, and receives the service from the server. Accordingly, it is possible to provide or receive web-based services via an IPTV network.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for providing and using content advisory (CA) information on Internet contents. A method of providing CA information by using a CA information server, includes receiving a request for the CA information on a content, from an Internet Protocol television (IPTV); searching for CA information on the content; and transmitting the found CA information to the IPTV. A method of using CA information when an IPTV reproduces a content not having the CA information, according to the present invention, includes transmitting a request for CA information, to a CA information server; receiving the CA information from the CA information server; analyzing the CA information; and applying the CA information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for restricting a control operation with respect to reproduction of media data so as to commercially implement consumption of the media data, the method and apparatus including: restricting the control operation with respect to reproduction of the media data by using a predetermined Application Programming Interface (API); and reproducing the media data received from a media server, according to the restricted control operation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrode for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. In one embodiment, a planar nanoporous or microporous metal foam or metal aerogel structure is provided, from which an electrode with a catalyst layer integrally formed by fixing a catalyst in the metal foam or metal aerogel is formed.
Abstract:
Techniques herein prepare an alloy catalyst using a protective conductive polymer coating. More particularly, an alloy catalyst is prepared by: preparing a platinum catalyst supported on carbon; coating the surface of the platinum catalyst with a conductive polymer; supporting a transition metal salt on the coated catalyst; and heat treating the catalyst on which the transition metal salt is supported. Also, an alloy catalyst may be prepared by: preparing a platinum-transition metal catalyst supported on carbon; coating the surface of the platinum-transition metal catalyst with a conductive polymer; and heat treating the coated catalyst. Accordingly an alloy catalyst with superior dispersity can be prepared by increasing the degree of alloying of the catalyst through heat treatment while preventing the increase of catalyst particle size through carbonization of the conductive polymer. The prepared catalyst may be useful, for example, for a fuel cell electrode.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polymer blend electrolyte membrane comprising an inorganic polymer having polydimethylsiloxane as a main chain, which has a pore structure at both ends formed by condensation reaction between 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane and tetraethylorthosilicate, wherein phosphoric acid is chemically linked to an amino group of the pore structure; and a proton-conducting polymer having a cation exchange group at the side chain thereof, as well as a manufacturing method thereof. Generally, proton-conducting electrolyte membranes have significantly reduced ion conductivity at high temperatures. However, proton-conducting electrolyte membranes have advantages in terms of efficiency and cost, and thus it is needed to develop an electrolyte membrane, which has excellent ion conductivity even at high temperature. Accordingly, the present invention aims to provide a polymer blend electrolyte membrane for use at high temperature and a manufacturing method thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a content hook-up apparatus and method. In particular, the present invention relates to a content hook-up apparatus that searches and downloads various formats of content corresponding to a search list input from a user, performs format conversion on the downloaded content so as to be playable on a predetermined display apparatus, and provides the content subjected to the format conversion to the display apparatus, which can play the content in a streaming manner. The content hook-up apparatus searches and downloads the content at a predetermined interval according to the user's setting and maintains a reserve space for storing the downloaded content.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrode binder for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell which includes a hydrocarbon-based polymer and a water-soluble polymer acting as a porogen, a porous hydrocarbon-based electrode catalyst layer including the electrode binder, and a method of manufacturing the same. Because of the use of the porogen, the pore size and porosity of the hydrocarbon-based binder catalyst layer are optimized, and bondability of a hydrocarbon-based membrane electrode assembly is enhanced. The present invention also features a fuel cell manufactured using the porogen.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a catalyst for a fuel cell. The method of the present invention can manufacture a cathode catalyst for a fuel cell having excellent corrosion resistance using carbon nanocages (CNC).
