摘要: A low cost, high selectivity asymmetric polyimide/polyethersulfone (PES) blend hollow fiber membrane, a method of making the membrane and its use for a variety of liquid, gas, and vapor separations such as deep desulfurization of gasoline and diesel fuels, ethanol/water separations, pervaporation dehydration of aqueous/organic mixtures, CO2/CH4, CO2/N2, H2/CH4, He/CH4, O2/N2, H2S/CH4, olefin/paraffin, iso/normal paraffins separations, and other light gas mixture separations. The polyimide/PES blend hollow fiber membrane is fabricated from a blend of a polyimide polymer and PES and showed surprisingly unique gas separation property with higher selectivities than either the polyimide hollow fiber membrane without PES polymer or the PES hollow fiber membrane without PES polymer for gas separations such as for H2/CH4, He/CH4, H2S/CH4, CO2/CH4 separations.

摘要: A resin composition includes a phenoxy resin as a principal component. The phenoxy resin has a weight-average molecular weight of 40,000 or more. The phenoxy resin has, in the same or different molecules, a first structural unit derived from bisphenol S phenoxy and a second structural unit derived from a bisphenol epoxy other than the bisphenol S phenoxy. A content ratio of the first structural unit in the phenoxy resin is 20 mol% to 80 mol% relative to a total content of the first structural unit and the second structural unit constituting the phenoxy resin.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a fluid control device includes extruding a polymer melt into a chamber defined by an outer surface of a support structure and a disintegrable metallic tubular member disposed at the support structure, the polymer melt comprising a high heat polymer and a foaming agent, the high heat polymer having a heat deflection temperature of about 100° C. to about 300° C. measured at 1.82 MPa in accordance with ASTM D648-18; sealing the chamber; and foaming the high heat polymer to produce a porous filtration medium in a compacted shape.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for preparing nanoporous polysulfone-based polymers, including: a copolymer of a polysulfone polymer and a polar polymer is immersed into a compound swelling agent, and maintained for at least 1 minute above room temperature; the compound swelling agent is a “solvent pair” composed of the mixture of solvent A and solvent B; the solvent A has high affinity with the polysulfone polymer; and the solvent B has high affinity with the polar polymer; the treated copolymer is taken out from the compound swelling agent and then dried to remove the solvent to obtain the nanoporous polysulfone-based polymers.

摘要: Methods for producing 3D printing composite polymer materials for use in additive manufacturing processes are provided. The methods result in enhancing the material properties of the printing material by providing a uniform and smooth surface finish of the printing material and the nozzle extrudate for additive manufacturing processes, such as Fused Filament Fabrication. The method includes implementing impregnation techniques for combining carbon nanotubes or other nano-fillers, a polymer resin and a fiber material to produce a polymer material that can be processed into a printing material. Further, the method may include combining the carbon nanotubes or other nano-fillers and the polymer resin to form a masterbatch that may be further combined with the fiber material through an extrusion process. The method results in a printing material with enhanced material properties and smooth surface finish for the printing material and resulting nozzle extrudate for Fused Filament Fabrication.
