Abstract:
An organic light emitting diode display for removing a voltage which is charged into a gate electrode of a driving transistor before a current frame is changed to a next frame is disclosed. In the organic light emitting diode display, a display panel has a plurality of pixels that include an organic light emitting diode. A timing controller controls a driving timing of the inputted video data and controls a supply timing of a refresh voltage. A data driver converts a digital data which is outputted from the timing controller for a current frame into an analog data voltage to supply it to the pixels, and then supplies the refresh voltage to pixels which are selected among the pixels in accordance with a control of the timing controller. And a gate driver primarily supplies a scanning pulse for a first horizontal period of a current frame to select the pixels to be supplied with a data, and then secondarily supplies a scanning pulse for a second horizontal period of a current frame to select pixels to be supplied with the refresh voltage among the pixels in accordance with a control of the timing controller.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data more effectively, and more particularly, a method of transmitting data to a group comprising a plurality of reception stations that receive the same data from a transmission station when the stations communicate the data in a power line communication (PLC) network, and an apparatus to do the same. According to the method, a transmission station transmits data to a group including a plurality of reception stations that receive the same data at a time, to prevent a channel bandwidth from being wasted, and to prevent a station that does not desire to receive the data from receiving the data.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for adjusting the phase difference between different phases in a power line communication (PLC) system. The apparatus includes a power signal blocking unit blocking a power signal and allowing a data signal to pass between two different phases on three-phase power lines; and a data signal delaying unit delaying the data signal by the phase difference between the two different phases. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent data collision and a time delay in data transmission between different phases by employing the phase adjusting apparatus in a PLC system, thereby improving the performance of PLC.
Abstract:
Provided are a method of providing media contents in a wired/wireless network environment and an apparatus using the same. The method includes: detecting a start point of media contents included in multimedia contents from the multimedia contents; and extracting a part of media contents based on the detected start point. Thus, the part of media contents can be provided to a digital media client in real time transcoding in which it is difficult to calculate the far end point of media contents.
Abstract:
A live content management method, a source device, and a sink device are provided. The live content management method includes storing live content in a storage unit of a source device if the transmission of the live content from the source device to a sink device is temporarily stopped. The live content management method may also include transmitting the live content stored in the storage unit of the source device to the sink device and then transmitting live content currently being broadcasted to the sink device via the storage unit of the source device, when receiving a request for resuming the transmission of the live content stored in the storage unit of the source device before a time-out for a command to stop the transmission of the live content stored in the storage unit of the source device. Accordingly, it is possible to provide various data transmission scenarios for a home network environment by efficiently managing live content even when the transmission of the live content via a home network has been temporarily stopped.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for requesting channel time allocation in a coordinator-based network. The apparatus includes a controller generating a packet requesting channel time allocation required for reception of data from the coordinator and a transceiver that sends the generated packet to the coordinator. The packet includes information identifying that the device sending the packet is the device receiving the data.
Abstract:
Provided are a channel time allocation method and apparatus adopting the same. The channel time allocation method includes: (a) receiving a request of registering in a network from a device; (b) determining whether the network supplying a service required by the device exists; and (c) if the network supplying the requested service exists, performing a procedure of registering in the network, and if the network supplying the requested service does not exist, generating a new network. Since existing MAC protocols can be used in the channel time allocation method, an optimum service is provided in a network environment in which different kinds of services coexist.
Abstract:
A system and a method for efficiently transmitting data during a team game in a CPNS environment, and a CPNS server, a mobile communication terminal, and an end-point terminal for the same. The CPNS server stores and manages information about both the end-point terminal and the mobile communication terminal, wherein the end-point terminal communicates with the mobile communication terminal through a wireless local area network and the mobile communication terminal executes the team game through the wireless local area network, and classifies and processes data to transmit only the required game-related data to the mobile communication terminal and the end-point terminal respectively.
