Abstract: Disclosed is a method for operating an air conditioner which is basically composed of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit and whose operation is controlled on the basis of values measured by a plurality of temperature sensors. When any one of the plural sensors is disabled due to wire disconnection, short-circuit or like trouble, and when a specific sensor which has a complementary relation with the disabled sensor with respect to the heat cycle or which has an object of measurement substantially the same as that of the disabled sensor is normally functioning without any wire disconnection, short-circuit or like trouble, the value measured by the specific sensor is based to presume the value that will be measured by the disabled sensor if the disabled sensor functions normally, and the operation of the air conditioner is continued on the basis of the presumed value.

Abstract: A charged particle beam device of the present invention has a signal processing function of acquiring a secondary signal obtained when a charged particle beam is caused to scan at a low speed not subjected to a band limitation of an electrical signal path, and a secondary signal obtained when a charged particle beam is caused to scan at a high speed subjected to the band limitation of the electrical signal path, calculating a degradation function (H−1(s)) between the plurality of secondary signals, and using an inverse function thereof as a correction filter; and a function of updating a parameter of the correction filter to an optimal value as needed or at given timing. Accordingly, the charged particle beam device can perform optimum image restoration even when a detector or an amplifier circuit that constitutes the electrical signal path degrades with time.

Abstract: This high-frequency waveguide is formed by first and second conductors (22, 23) disposed opposite each other at a spacing of λ0/2, where λ0 is the free space wavelength of the operating frequency of a high-frequency signal. A ridge (25) is provided at the waveguide formation portion between these first and second conductors (22, 23), which protrudes from one of the first and second conductors (22, 23) toward the other and is formed extending along the waveguide formation portion. A plurality of columnar protrusions (24) with a height of λ0/4 are disposed at a spacing of less than λ0/2 to at least one of the first and second conductors (22, 23) on the outside of the waveguide formation portion and to the outside of the ridge (25).
