Abstract:
A vehicle steering wheel includes a gas bag module which has a gas generator (14) for filling a gas bag. The steering wheel has at least one discharge opening (12; 34) formed in a rigid component (10) of the steering wheel or of the gas bag module, through which opening gas generated by the gas generator (14) can partially discharge. The steering wheel further includes at least one electrically controllable closure element (14; 26; 28), by which the discharge opening (12; 34) can be opened. The closure element (14; 26, 28) is designed and controllable such that it is movable several times into an open position and into a closure position.
Abstract:
An airbag module comprising a gas generator support is distinguished in that arranged on the gas generator support (26) is a plate spring (10) which comprises a continuous ring-shaped inner section (12) and several arms (14). The arms each have a first end (14a) formed on the inner section (12) and a second, free end (14b) which is bent away axially with respect to a central axis (16) of the plate spring (10). The arms (14) are elastically deformable under axial pressure. There is further proposed an assembly comprised of a steering wheel and such airbag module.
Abstract:
A steering device (10) for a motor vehicle includes a steering wheel (12) and a gas bag (20) accommodated in the steering wheel (12). The steering wheel (12) is connected with a steering column (16) via a hub (14). The steering device (10) further includes a gas generator (22) which is able to be activated to fill the gas bag (20). The gas generator (22) is arranged on a side of the hub (14) facing away from the steering wheel (12) outside the steering column (16). The steering column (16) forms a part of a flow connection between the gas generator (22) and the gas bag (20) when the gas generator (22) is activated.
Abstract:
A gas bag module includes a gas generator (10), a gas bag (28) in flow connection with the gas generator, and a module covering. The module covering covers the gas bag and has a separate central part (18) after opening of the module covering. The gas bag module further has a holding device (12) for the central part. The holding device has guide means (14, 16, 20, 22) which on inflation of the gas bag (28) permit a displacement of the central part (18) and delimit a displacement of the central part (18).
Abstract:
A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system includes a housing and a gas bag (12) accommodated in the housing. The gas bag has a gas bag wall (16). The gas bag module further includes a discharge arrangement (18) having an energetic element (22) for the selective provision of a discharge opening. The energetic element (22) is able to be activated by a control unit (20). The discharge opening is provided by material conversion of the energetic element (22).
Abstract:
A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint device includes a rigid component (10). The rigid component (10) has a discharge opening (12) formed therein through which gas can escape. A control arrangement through which gas can pass is provided at the discharge opening (12). The control arrangement is designed so that the quantity of the gas passing through depends on the speed of flow of the gas.
Abstract:
A Gas bag module for use in a vehicle occupant restraint device has a plastic generator support. On the generator support a printed circuit is formed by metal deposition. For activating an electrical function element, the printed circuit cooperates with a switching element that is arranged on a section of the generator support.
Abstract:
A protective device for the driver of a motor vehicle includes an airbag module (16). The airbag module (16) has an inflatable airbag (24). The airbag module (16) is arranged behind an instrument panel (12) of the vehicle. The airbag (24) in an inflated state extends in a space which is delimited substantially by a driver's door (26), an A-column (28) and a steering wheel (10) of the vehicle.
