Abstract:
The invention provides formulations and structural modifications for phenothiazine compounds which result in altered biodistributions, thereby reducing the occurrence of adverse reactions associated with this class of drug.
Abstract:
A first machine (e.g., server VM) authenticates an untrusted second machine (e.g., new client VM) as a condition to performing or allowing a protected operation. An authentication identifier is written to a file of a file system using one mechanism, and then read from the file using another mechanism. One of the mechanisms is an untrusted mechanism employing the untrusted second machine, while the other is a trusted mechanism performed by the first machine either alone or in combination with a trusted management component that has privileged access to the file system. If the written and read values match, it can be inferred that the second machine is authentic, because the trusted management component has identified and accessed an existing file system that is also separately accessed by the second machine.
Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention relates to heterocyclic compounds that bind to bcl proteins and inhibit Bcl function. Another aspect of the present invention relates to compositions comprising a heterocyclic compound of the invention. The present invention provides methods for treating and modulating disorders associated with hyperproliferation, such as cancer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to antibiotic compounds and intermediates useful in their preparation. Many of the antibiotic compounds contain a substituted isoxazolidine ring. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing a compound of the invention. The invention further provides processes for the preparation of compounds of the invention, and methods for their use as therapeutic agents.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a conveyor belt cleaning apparatus comprising a frame having a front side, a rear side, two lateral sides and one or more openings located between the front side, the rear side and the lateral sides; a first scraping blade and a second scraping blade, wherein each of the scraping blades is positioned between the lateral sides of the frame, and wherein the second scraping blade is rearward of the first scraping blade; and means for securing the frame to the underside of a conveyor belt assembly such that the first scraping blade and the second scraping blade make contact with the conveyor belt of the conveyor belt assembly.
Abstract:
A filter housing providing improved cleanliness is provided. In one embodiment, the filter housing includes a body, a cover plate and a clean fluid manifold assembly. The body has a first plenum defined therein which is configured to accommodate multiple filter elements. The clean fluid manifold having a recess and plurality of index tubes. The recess bounds a second plenum, wherein surfaces of the recess have been machined, or otherwise have had surface material removed to provide a smooth, clean and contamination free surface. The plurality of index tubes have a first end coupled to the clean fluid manifold and a second end extending into the first plenum, the second end of the index tube configured to engage with a filter element.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions, methods, and kits for treating or preventing a viral infection (e.g., an infection caused by an influenza virus).
Abstract:
Network configuration settings for an virtual guest environment are adjusted in response to detecting a change in a networking environment. The changes in the networking environment may be detected through updated host operating system settings or other means. After detecting a change, virtual machine software may initiate reconfiguration of virtual machine network configuration settings, guest operating system network configuration settings, or both. The reconfiguration allows network connectivity for the guest operating system to be restored without user interaction. The updated network configuration settings may be retrieved from a host operating system, the network, local memory or some other source. Network settings for a new network may be saved in memory and recalled when the host machine attempts to connect to the network in the future.
Abstract:
The invention features a method for treating a patient having a cancer or other neoplasm by administering to the patient two compounds simultaneously or within 14 days of each other in amounts sufficient to treat the patient.
