Abstract:
A battery cover device for a portable terminal is provided. The battery cover device includes a battery recess formed on a surface of the terminal, a cover plate adapted to attach to and detach from a surface of the terminal to cover the battery recess, and a push rod adapted to protract to and retract from a surface of the terminal. The push rod receives elastic force to protrude from a surface of the terminal and release the cover plate from the terminal. The battery cover device is advantageous in that the cover plate can be easily released by using the push rod or elastic piece, and a battery pack can be easily mounted on a slim terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a class-E power amplifier, comprising a driver stage (DS) including a first power amplifier with transistors, to which an input signal is inputted; a main stage (MS), including a second power amplifier with transistors, whose input is connected to the output of the DS; and a first LC resonator whose one end is connected to the output of the DS and the other end to the ground as an AC equivalent circuit and a second LC resonator whose one end is connected to the input of the MS and the other end to the ground as an AC equivalent circuit. In accordance with the present invention, as the voltage stress is reduced on the CMOS class-E power amplifier, the application of the high power supply voltage may be allowed and therefore the load impedance may be high while the same efficiency is maintained.

Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting a channel sounding signal from a user terminal in a multiple antenna system. In the method, a channel for each of a plurality of antennas is estimated. The receiving signal power of each of the antennas is calculated using the channel information obtained through the channel estimation. The antenna with the highest RX signal power is selected. Therefore, it is possible to enhance the signal reception performance of the user terminal.

Abstract:
Variants of a Pseudomonas saccharophila G4-forming amylase (PS4) advantageously can catalyze high temperature saccharification to produce maltotetraose syrup from a starch liquefact or granular starch, e.g., derived from cornstarch. The PS4 variants are useful in a process of saccharification of starch that advantageously produces significant amounts of maltotetraose, which can be used downstream in a process of producing a maltotetraose syrup. In one embodiment, a thermostable PS4 variant is provided that can produce about 40% to about 60% by weight maltotetraose, based on total saccharide content.

Abstract:
Provided is a touch cell structure having high detection sensitivity and accuracy, a touch panel using the same, and a touch input detection method. The touch cell structure includes: a conductive pad that forms an electrostatic capacitance with respect to a touch unit when a finger of a human body or the touch unit having an electrical characteristic similar to the finger approaches the conductive pad within a predetermined distance; a three-terminal type switching device whose input and output terminals are connected with the conductive pad and that is controlled to be turned on/off by a control signal that is applied to a gate terminal of the three-terminal type switching device, to thus charge or discharge the electrostatic capacitance formed between the touch unit and the conductive pad; and a capacitor C1 that is connected between the control terminal of the switching device and the conductive pad. A capacitor C2 is additionally connected between the conductive pad and the ground, in order to make a kick back difference between the switching device and the conductive pad more definitely. According to technical advantages, an electrostatic capacitance Ct formed between a touch unit and a conductive pad at the time of occurrence of a touch input is an important factor that determines a kick back, to thus make a great difference between output signals from a switching device due to a kick back difference depending upon whether or not a touch input exists. Thus, detection sensitivity and detection accuracy with respect to the touch input are very high, the touch input is not little influenced due to external noise, and the output signal in an analog form from the switching device is detected in a digital mode without being converted into a digital signal in an analog to digital (ADC) converter.
