Abstract:
The pallet container comprises a wooden pallet or a steel pipe pallet, on which is mounted an inner container of a synthetic resin with a jacket of vertical and horizontal lattice bars (4, 5) of steel pipe, these bars forming continuous inner and outer tangential planes; (20-20, 25-25). At the points of intersection (15), the lattice bars are drawn in to form trough-like indentations. This configuration has the result that, at each point of intersection (15), four contact points (22) disposed in one plane (21-21) are produced with an accumulation of material in each case corresponding to four times the wall thickness of the lattice bars. The lattice bars (4, 5) are joined together at the points of intersection (15) in the zone of the contact points (22) by electric resistance welding. The pallet container is usable as a safely operating multiple-trip container for liquid merchandise of all kinds.
Abstract:
A composite steel-jacketed plastic barrel has a cylindrical sheet steel shell with a lower sheet steel bottom flanged thereto, and a plastic lining which comprises the upper end of the barrel and has bungholes through that upper end. Both the upper end of the lining and the upper end of the shell have radially outwardly extending flanges thereon; and a detachable clamping ring releasably interconnects these flanges, so that either the steel component or the plastic component can be separately used or replaced. The construction permits saving of the plastic material of the lining, in that the thickness thereof decreases uniformly from top to bottom.
Abstract:
A transport and storage container for liquids includes a parallelepiped-shaped or cubic inner container of plastic, a closable filling socket, and a draining socket for a draining fitting with a plastic housing, a flexible inner sheathing of plastic material which can be placed in the inner container and is provided with a filling socket, a discharge socket, an outer casing of metal grating or sheet metal and a pallet-like underframe for supporting the inner container. A threaded sleeve of plastic material is welded onto the drain socket of the inner container. When the filling socket of the fitting housing is screwed onto the threaded sleeve welded onto the connecting socket of the inner container, the sealing flange is clamped between the free end in the housing of the drain fitting of the threaded sleeve and an internal shoulder of the filling socket of the fitting housing, for sealing the connecting socket of the inner container and the threaded sleeve welded to the inner container and pulled through the drain socket by the internal sheathing.
Abstract:
A transport and storage container for liquids has as principal components a palette-like bottom frame for an exchangeable inner container of synthetic material and a grate casing with horizontal and vertical grate rods of metal for receiving the inner container. The vertical grate rods connected with their upper ends to the upper border profile of the grate casing by dot welding and clinching. As a result of the two-fold connection by positive and frictional engagement of the vertical grate rods to the upper circumferential border profile of the grate casing ensures that, when the dot welded connections fail, the fastening of the vertical grate rods to the upper border profile of the grate casing is ensured by the clinch connection and, when the clinch connection fails, the fastening of the grate rods to the upper border profile of the grate casing is ensured by the dot welded connections.
Abstract:
A plastic tank for liquids formed as a rectangular-solid or cubic container has four sidewalls, an upper base with a filling socket, a lower base, and an outlet socket, the outlet socket being formed on the lower section of a sidewall for connection to a tapping valve. The upper corner regions between the sidewalls and the upper base of the container and/or the lower corner regions between the sidewalls and the lower base of the container have at least one indentation or projection each.
Abstract:
In a method for manufacturing a plastic container for liquids, the container is blow-molded to have a securing segment on an outer side of the recess of the front wall for centering and securing the finish-blowmolded container in a welding machine and to have a round depression in the outer side of the recess that has a diameter matching a nominal width of the dispensing valve. The bottom of the round depression is cut by a cutting tool that is centered in the round depression for producing the discharge opening of the container. A fastening flange of the intake socket of the dispensing valve is fused to an outer edge of the discharge opening. Alternatively, a dispensing socket of plastic material having an outer thread is fused to the outer edge of the discharge opening and the dispensing valve is secured on the dispensing socket by a union nut.
Abstract:
A pallet-type support frame for transport and storage containers for liquids having an inner plastic container and an outer metal jacket has a sheet metal bottom for supporting the inner container. The bottom has a shape matched to the drainage bottom or the flat bottom of the inner container. Anti-slip support elements are arranged on the underside of the bottom such that the support frame rests with the support elements on gripping arms of a transport device. Alternatively, an anti-slip coating is provided on the underside of the bottom. The coating is engaged by gripping arms of the transport device when the support frame is transported. The support elements or anti-slip coatings are made of a material that is matched to a material of the gripping arms such that a friction coefficient as great as possible is provided between the support elements or anti-slip coatings and the gripping arms.
Abstract:
A pallet (1) is made of steel or plastic, with a sublime (2), corner feet (7) and center feet (15, 16), a base pan (8) made of sheet metal, resting on feet (7, 15, 16), with a drainage bottom (9), which has a drainage channel (10). Base pan (8) holds, with positive fit, an internal container (11) made of plastic with an outer jacket (12) made of sheet metal or lattice work and a drainage bottom (13), or forms part of a sheet metal container. A stiffening sheet (14), made like a girder, is fastened under the base pan (8), crosswise to its drainage channel (10). Further to provide greater transport security and simplification of construction, two center feet (15, 16) are integrally molded on both ends (14a, 14b) of the stiffening sheet (14) that is made like a bridge.
Abstract:
A process for reconditioning a standardized tight head drum for re-use as either a tight-head drum or a wide-neck drum. The standardized tight head drum has an upper head drum welded to the drum body at a seam. This drum is reconditioned by separating the upper drum head from the drum along a cut line at a location below the seam. The cut edge is smoothed and sized and the interior of the drum is cleaned. For re-use as a tight head drum, an upper head having a fill plug and a vent plug is welded onto the cut edge of the drum. For re-use as a wide-neck drum, a neck ring is welded onto the cut edge and a wide-neck drum cover is placed on the neck ring. The reconditioned tight head and wide-neck drums have the same nominal volume and the same height and diameter dimensions as the tight head drum prior to reconditioning.
Abstract:
A pallet container (1), which is used as a single-use or multi-use container for the transport and storage of liquids of various types, has an outer jacket (2) made of criss-crossing vertical and horizontal lattice bars (3, 4) made of metal, a support insert (5), which can be used in the outer jacket, made of smooth wall parts made of plastic to support a replaceable, thin-walled inner container (6) made of plastic with a rectangular outline and rounded corners, which has a filler neck (7) that can be sealed by a screw cap (8) and a drain neck (9) to connect a drain valve (10). A sealing cover (11), mounted on the lattice jacket (2) and the support insert (5), is made of plastic or sheet metal. A steel pallet (12) that can be handled by a forklift truck or a storage and retrieval unit for high-bay warehouses or the like, supports the inner container (6), the support insert (5), and the lattice jacket (2). For empty transport and storage purposes, the steel pallet (12) contains a stowage space for the lattice jacket (2) and support insert (5) in the collapsed state.
