    Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for the identification of expression signatures in ER+ breast cancer cases, where the signatures correlate with responsiveness, or lack thereof, to treatment with tamoxifen or another antiestrogen agent against breast cancer The signature profiles are identified based upon sampling of reference breast tissue samples from independent cases of breast cancer and provide a reliable set of molecular criteria for predicting the efficacy of treating a subject with breast cancer with tamoxifen or another antiestrogen agent against breast cancer. Additional methods and compositions are provided for predicting responsiveness to tamoxifen or another antiestrogen agent against breast cancer in cases of breast cancer by use of three biomarkers. Two biomarkers display increased expression correlated with tamoxifen response while the third biomarker displays decreased expression correlated with tamoxifen response.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method for detecting immunoglobulin light chain restriction and clonality in B cells by obtaining a sample of B cells from a subject; conducting a duplex in situ hybridization assay on the sample using (i) at least one probe set which is designed to specifically hybridize to immunoglobulin kappa chain constant region (IGKCR) RNA; and (ii) at least one probe set which is designed to specifically hybridize to immunoglobulin lambda chain constant region (IGLCR) RNA; detecting signal associated with hybridized IGKCR probe and signal associated with hybridized IGLCR probe in a population of B cells in the sample; and determining a pattern of signal associated with hybridized IGKCR probe and hybridized IGLCR probe within individual cells in the B cell population, wherein the pattern of signal within individual cells indicates the presence or absence of light chain restriction and clonality of the B cells.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for managing content distribution over multiple terminal devices in collaborative media system are provided. In the collaborative media system, a first media data is transmitted over a first channel path to a first media terminal and a second media data relevant to the first media data is transmitted over a second channel to a second media terminal. The method comprises: detecting a quality of the first media data on the first channel path and that of the second media data on the second channel path; upon detection the quality of the first media data being lower than a first predetermined value and that of the second media data being greater than a second predetermined value, transmitting the second media data over the second channel path, instead of the first media data over the first channel path, to the first media terminal (S204).
