Abstract:
Methods, computer-readable storage media and apparatuses for utilizing privacy information to improve a user experience are disclosed. A processor receives privacy information of a user, the privacy information comprising location information and at least one of: traveling companion information and event information, receives over a communication network associated with the network service provider, a search request, determines search results responsive to the search request, wherein the search results are generated by accounting for the location information and at least one of: the traveling companion information and the event information, and provides over the communication network associated with the network service provider, the search results to an endpoint device of the user.
Abstract:
A device includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including receiving, via a transmission, a first set of video segments. Each video segment of the first set of video segments includes multiple video frames of a video stream associated with an event. The operations also include sending a replay request for data associated with a particular video stream associated with the event. The replay request is associated with a replay duration. A communication session with a media server is established via a unicast transmission based on the replay request. The operations also include receiving, via the communication session, a second set of video segments associated with the particular video stream and automatically terminating the communication session based on the replay duration.
Abstract:
A method includes receiving a first request for a video content item. The first request is received at a media server from a first electronic device. The method includes selectively communicating a vector graphics format version of the video content item or a bitmap graphics format version of the video content item to the first electronic device.
Abstract:
Passive location estimation of mobile devices within a wireless network is provided. The passive location estimation is determined based on one or more measurements that are received from the mobile device and/or from one or more network elements. At least a portion of the passive information can be received in user plane data associated with an application executing on the mobile device. A measurement set for the mobile device can be defined and can be used to build fingerprints of geographical cellular measurements.
Abstract:
Methods, computer-readable media and apparatuses for sharing an experience via a social network on demand are disclosed. A processor establishes a first video session with a mobile endpoint device of a user, the first video session is established after the mobile endpoint device is authenticated as being allowed to capture a video of a live event at a commercial venue, the first video session containing the video of the live event at the commercial venue that the user is attending, receives at least one social media connection of the user for receiving the video, sends a notification to each social media connection of the at least one social media connection that the video is available, receives a request from the at least one social media connection to access the video, and establishes a second video session with an endpoint device of the at least social media connection.
Abstract:
Diverting communication content directed to a wireless device based on a determined state of a display of the wireless device is presented herein. A method can include receiving state information representing a display state of a display of a wireless device; and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been inactive for a defined period of time, redirecting communication content that has been directed to the wireless device to an intermediary device. In an example, the redirecting can include storing the communication content in the intermediary device as stored content, and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been active, sending, via the intermediary device, the stored content directed to the wireless device.

Abstract:
A system that allows for performance indicators such as a success rate of a broadcast message or latency between a sender and mobile station of a broadcast message, during emergency broadcasts to a wireless transmit/receive unit, such as a mobile phone.
