摘要: A heat transfer structure for the efficient cooling of a heated surface such as the combustor wall of a gas turbine has a high heat transfer coefficient and can therefore operate at a relatively low pressure loss. A cooling jacket is formed around the heated surface by means of an apertured wall parallel to and spaced from the heated surface. Cooling fluid such as air flows into the cooling jacket through the apertures and impinges as air jets on the heated surface. The heat transfer coefficient is greatly increased by flow diversion features associated with the apertures which act as Coanda surfaces to divert the air jets so that they impinge obliquely and turbulently on the heated surface and establish subsequent turbulent sinuous cross-flows of the cooling air on the heated surface.

The hot gas flow is then mixed with the colder main burner flow in the burner interior space (14).

摘要: A gas turbine apparatus for higher pressure and temperature ratio operation, improved thermal efficiency and minimized NO.sub.x emissions includes a high pressure compressor, a high pressure turbine, a low pressure turbine and combustion chambers for each of the turbines. A diffuser guides exhaust gas from the high pressure turbine and retards the velocity of the gases. A 180.degree. bend downstream of the diffuser changes the flow direction of the gases. Fuel lances extend into the bend at the outlet end to inject fuel into the gases after the direction change. The bend directs the gas and fuel into a reversal combustion chamber where the gases and fuel again changes direction by 180.degree., and a ring vortex in the flow is produced. The fuel and air is ignited and combusted, and the combusted gases directed into the low pressure turbine.

摘要: An inlet guide vane arrangement for a gas turbine is provided. The arrangement includes a plurality of guide vane duct elements, the guide vane duct elements include a suction side wall and a pressure side wall, both walls facing each other, and are designed to be adjoinable to another of the guide vane duct elements, such that the pressure side wall of one guide vane duct element cooperates with the suction side wall of the adjacent guide vane duct element thereby forming a guide vane. The guide vane duct element includes features to accept a key element adapted to be arranged between the pressure side wall and the adjacent suction side wall, when two guide vane duct elements are adjoining to one another, and to attach together both adjoining guide vane duct elements.

摘要: In an annular combustion chamber (1), which essentially comprises a plenum (7) for receiving a compressor air flow, burners (100) placed inside the plenum (7), a combustion space (122) arranged downstream of the plenum (7), and a cooling-air-carrying duct (2, 3) encasing the combustion space (122) and leading into the plenum (7), injector systems (8, 9) are arranged in the region where the coolingair-carrying duct (2, 3) leads into the plenum (7). These injector systems (8, 9) in each case consist of a flow duct as a continuation of the cooling-air-carrying duct (2, 3) and of a number of openings (5a) which are arranged in the peripheral direction of this flow duct and through which acceleration air (5) flows into the cooling-air flow. The effect of a bodiless diffuser is thereby achieved, and the pressure losses which occur given a widening in cross section are minimized.
