A multilayer wiring board and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The wiring board comprises an insulating substrate having a first and second conductor layers formed on major surfaces of the insulating substrate, a blind hole formed through the first conductor layer and the insulating substrate to expose the second conductor layer at the bottom of the blind hole, and a connecting conductor provided to cover the exposed surface of the second conductor layer wall portion of the blind hole and the first conductor layer. Since the connecting conductor and the second conductor are made in surface contact, connection reliability is very much improved. The blind hole is made by blasting a fine abrasive powder beam to selectively remove the insulating substrate. The end of selective removal can be easily controlled by the difference of working speed against the insulating substrate and the conductor layer to successfully expose the second conductor layer at the bottom of the blind hole.

A method for manufacturing a magnetic transducer head in which a track width regulating grooves provided on both edges of a magnetic gap are filled by blowing a powder beam of nonmagnetic material having a very fine particle size to deposit the nonmagnetic material in the grooves. A pair of magnetic core members are bonded together to form a magnetic gap therebetween by providing a metal layer of a bonding surface of the core members and applying a pressure to the core members under an elevated temperature to cause a mutual diffusion of the metal to bond the core members together. Thus the magnetic transducer head can be made without using a high-temperature heat treatment.

A complex magnetic transducer head with a single magnetic pole includes a recording and reproducing main magnetic pole made of a thin film of soft magnetic material with a predetermined width and in contact with a magnetic recording medium. A non-magnetic guard member is adjacent each side of the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole and a magnetic core portion is integrated with each guard member. Grooves are formed in the magnetic core portion for separating a first auxiliary magnetic pole portion in contact with the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole from a magnetic flux return path portion. The winding is wound around the recording reproducing main magnetic pole through the grooves. An erasing head portion having a pair of erasing main magnetic poles faces the magnetic record medium and is spaced from the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole by a predetermined distance along the running direction of the magnetic record medium, and the pair of erasing main magnetic poles are spaced apart in a direction transverse to the running direction by a distance smaller than the width of the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole. A erasing winding is provided for exciting the erasing main magnetic poles. Previously recorded data on the magnetic record medium is erased, despite small displacements which may occur between the previously recorded track on the magnetic record medium and the recording and reproducing main magnetic pole.
