    摘要： The substrate detection apparatus includes: a collimating reflector located on one side of substrates; an illumination unit configured to radiate light in a planar state toward the collimating reflector such that edge portions of the substrates are located in an optical path of the light; an image acquiring unit configured to acquire a passing light image including the edge portions formed on the collimating reflector with the light radiated in the planar state from the illumination unit; and an image processing unit configured to process the passing light image obtained by the image acquiring unit, thereby detecting the conditions of the substrates.

    摘要： A sheet metal component, obtained by press-forming a one-piece metal sheet comprised of two metal sheets into a desired shape, has an expanding portion having an external appearance varying in dependence on a weld state of a weld portion of the one-piece metal sheet at which the two metal sheets are welded at their confronting ends. In manufacturing the sheet metal component, the one-piece metal sheet is transferred between upper and lower dies of a pressing machine and is positioned such that its metal sheet section including part of the weld portion is disposed between a punch formed in the lower die and a recess formed in the upper die so as to face the punch. The metal sheet section is pressed by the punch to be subject to plastic deformation, whereby the expanding portion is formed.

    摘要： A benzimidazole derivative having the formula, ##STR1## wherein R is cyano or thiocarbamoyl; Q is lower alkyl or a group represented by the formula NQ.sup.1 Q.sup.2, in which Q.sup.1 and Q.sup.2 are independently lower alkyl, lower alkyl substituted with phenyl, lower alkenyl or lower alkynyl, or they form a lower alkylene ring when taken together at their ends which ring may include a hetero atom; X is hydrogen or halogen; and Z is a group which consists of (a) one oxygen atom or two non-adjacent oxygen atom, (b) --CF.sub.2 -- group and (c) any one of a single bond, --CF.sub.2 --, --CFH--, CFCl-- and --CH.sub.2 -- groups and forms a five-membered or six membered ring together with two adjacent carbon atoms of the benzene ring; is obtained by reacting a corresponding 2-cyanobenzimidazole compound and a sulfamoyl chloride derivative. The benzimidazole derivative is incorporated into agricultural and horticultural fungicides as an active ingredient.

    摘要： An apparatus for assembling a tubular mesh ring annularly interposed between a tubular casing in a catalytic converter and a columnar catalyst unit inserted therein, the mesh ring alternately having a plurality of crests and roots extending incliningly with respect to an axis of the catalyst unit when mounted to the converter, the assembling apparatus comprising a pair of side receiving members for supporting the sides of the mesh plate with an overlapped portion of the mesh tube positioned on top and the axis thereof oriented to be substantially horizontal, a lower receiving member for supporting the lower portion thereof, an upper receiving member for supporting the overlapped portion from below, an electrode secured to the upper surface of the upper receiving member and capable of bearing against the overlapped portion from below, a pressing plate for urging the overlapped portion against the electrode, and an electrode tip in cooperation with the electrode to spot-weld the overlapped portion of the mesh tube to assemble the mesh ring.
