    摘要: A catalyst unit for an exhaust gas catalyst, having a ceramic catalyst body, and a metallic housing which encloses the catalyst body at least in some sections perpendicular to a gas throughflow direction. At least one bearing mat positioned between the catalyst body and the housing perpendicular to the throughflow direction. The catalyst body is retained in the housing via a force-closed press fit with the intermediate arrangement of the or each bearing mat such that, when seen in the throughflow direction of the catalyst body, the press fit between the housing and the catalyst body is formed exclusively at defined axial positions, the housing having groove-like depressions at the defined axial positions for reducing in some sections the inner cross-section of the housing, and the press fit between the housing and the catalyst body being formed exclusively in the region of the groove-like depressions.

    摘要: An aftertreatment module for the treatment of exhaust gasses from a power system includes a first aftertreatment brick and a second aftertreatment brick. The first and second aftertreatment bricks can be flow-through type catalysts for catalyzing byproducts in the exhaust gasses. The aftertreatment module can include a first channel directing the incoming exhaust gasses in a first direction through the first aftertreatment brick and a second channel directing the exhaust gasses through the second aftertreatment brick. The first and second channel can be in a side-by-side arrangement. To communicate the exhaust gasses between the first and second channels, a traverse channel can redirect the gas flow within the aftertreatment module.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing exhaust gas ducting devices provides each device with an outer housing having an insert clamped therein, wherein the insert comprises a substrate traversed by exhaust gas, and an elastic compensating element surrounding the substrate. The method includes spreading each individual compensating element on a base and deforming the compensating element substantially vertical to the base by exerting a pressure such that the entire compensating element is subjected to a full-surface load. Then a setpoint deformation of the compensating element is determined, which is necessary to achieve a specified setpoint pressure., The method further includes determining at least one parameter of the substrate individually, placing the compensating element around the substrate, and mounting the insert thus obtained in an outer housing having inside dimensions that correspond to outside dimensions of the insert with the determined setpoint deformation.

The device comprises at least a first sheet and a second sheet and at least one holding means for holding the at least first and second sheets together.     摘要: The invention relates to a mounting mat for mounting an exhaust gas catalytic converter, which is used for purifying motor vehicle exhaust gases, in a catalytic converter housing. The mounting mat has at least three plies and is mechanically compacted by seams (6) that absorb tensile stresses. The seams (6) are made with a sewing thread (7) whose temperature resistance is lower than the temperature of the mounting mat (5) when the exhaust gas catalytic converter is in operation. According to the invention, an elastically compressible nonwoven (3) made of crimped metal filaments is placed between two outer plies (1, 1′) made of mineral fibers (2).
