Abstract: A catheter includes a detachable tip assembly that when detached from the catheter may be used to occlude a body lumen or vessel. The detachable distal tip assembly may include an inflatable balloon disposed over and secured to a tubular member. The inflatable balloon may be in fluid communication within an inflation lumen extending within the catheter body. Upon reaching a target site within a body lumen or vessel, the detachable distal tip assembly may be released from the distal end of the catheter upon inflation of the balloon to a predetermined size.

Abstract: Peelable sheath systems and methods for using peelable sheath systems are disclosed. The peelable sheath system may include an elongated tubular sleeve (e.g., a sheath) and a sleeve separation or removing device. The peelable sheath systems may also include a hub. The elongated tubular sleeve and the sleeve separation or removing device may be positioned about an elongated member of a medical device. Initially, the sleeve separation or removing device may be positioned on the elongated member of the medical device at a location at least partially proximal the elongated tubular sleeve. In operation, the sleeve separation or removing device may be advanced toward the elongated tubular sleeve to separate a portion of the tubular sleeve from another portion of the tubular and remove the tubular sleeve from about the medical device.

Abstract: An apposition device having a first elongate element movably coupled with a second elongate element. The second elongate element is deployable distal to the structures to be apposed, in a position transverse to the first elongate element. The first elongate element may be pulled to pull the second elongate element to move the structures into apposition. A third element may be positioned proximal to the structures to hold the structures in apposition. The third element may be a ratcheting element fixable in place with respect to the first elongate element. The apposition device may be deployed with a fine gauge needle. The second elongate element may be deployed from a side port in the needle facilitating deployment, and/or movement of the second elongate element with respect to the first elongate element and into a deployment configuration. Such arrangement may allow control of the first elongate element independent of the needle.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for coupling tubing to a fluid reservoir to provide liquid to an endoscope system. A manifold for coupling to a fluid reservoir and a tubing assembly may include first portion interfacing with an interior of the fluid reservoir and a second portion configured to interface with tubing to be fluidly coupled to the interior of the reservoir. The first portion may include one or more openings to allow gas to pass into the fluid reservoir and liquid to pass out of the fluid reservoir. The second portion may include one or more ports for connecting to tubing that brings gas to the fluid reservoir and receives liquid from the fluid reservoir. The manifold may include a valve that selectively allows gas to pass into the fluid reservoir.
