摘要： The applicator for utilization in combination with an endoscope tube comprises a coil connected to a longitudinal passage through a shaft and comprising hollow turns connected to the shaft passage for reception of a sewing thread, whose proximal extremity is passed through a loop projecting from a radial opening at the distal extremity of the shaft, is then drawn through the shaft passage and fastened to the proximal shaft extremity. Tying the single stitch after piercing the tissues is performed by passing the needle axially through the coil and then around the thread and twisting the coil out of the loop formed thereby to form the first half of a knot which is then complemented by the second half of the knot tied in the same way, the knot being tied by subsequently pulling together the two halves.

摘要： This invention relates to surgical forceps for applying clips to fallopian tubes in an operation known as tubal ligation. Such forceps are known which comprise a stem having an opening at its distal end for insertion of a clip formed by two branches held apart by an elastic connecting strap comprising a closing lever displaceable in said stem axially with respect to said clip by means of a proximal handle and situated in the area of said stem opening, which by actuation of said handle is pivoted into the closed position and brings the free extremities of said clip branches into coupled engagement gripping one behind the other in hooklike manner.In such forceps the improvement consists in that a cylindrical sleeve is provided which is arranged to be pushable axially over said forceps stem from the distal extremity, which brings or pivots the unclosed branch of the inserted clip projecting from the periphery of said forceps stem in the excised portion of said stem against the other clip branch held fast in said forceps without coupled engagement into a position in alignment with said forceps stem insertible through a trocar sleeve.

摘要： A trocar sleeve of the kind having a widened part forming a housing between the distal portion of the sleeve and its proximal portion, which latter extends from a plug for the widened housing part, and a normally closed ball valve in the widened housing part openable by a trocar passing through the sleeve.The widened part forming the housing receives an insert of U-shaped cross section secured to the plug to stress an inserted sealing gasket of deformation-resistant plastics material which provides a valve seating. The space in the U formed by the insert forms a space for the ball of the ball valve to move in, and the ball, is connected to a shaft insertable in the insert and carrying a tangentially loaded helical spring.

Another section of the thread (1) or an end of the thread can be threaded or guided through this preformed feature for the purpose of forming a loop and/or knot. The preformed section can take the form of a preformed feature with an approximately spiral shape, for example.

摘要： An endoscope has a tubular shaft for receiving a viewing lens and a treatment instrument. The shaft has a distal end portion of channel-shape, providing a viewing window for the viewing lens. The circumference of the shaft is of oval cross-section around which the wall of the channel-shaped portion extends asymmetrically. An aperture recess forming an additional viewing window for the viewing lens is provided in the wall of the end portion. The endoscope is particularly suitable for use in endoscopic operations in the female breast, since the additional viewing window allows inspection of an implant before opening a capsule surrounding the implant.
