An addition-curable type rubber composition comprising a vinyl-containing organopolysiloxane as a base polymer and, particularly, further comprising as a crosslinking agent an organohydrogenpolysiloxane which contains, in its molecule, at least one unit having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein J is an alkylene group of from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, Rf is a perfluoropolyether group, and a is an integer of from 0 to 2. The composition has excellent durability in repeated mold release, and a mold prepared from the composition is able to produce moldings of constant quality even when molding is repeated a large number of times.

A mold releasing resin composition is provided which contains at least one fluorinated compound end-blocked with a dimethylhydrogensiloxane group and optionally having a fluorinated polyether linkage. The composition is applied to the inner surface of a silicone rubber mold and cured thereat before a curable resin is admitted into the mold, cured therein, and then removed from the mold.

Disclosed is an organosiloxane polymer-based composition curable by the mechanism of the hydrosilation reaction between silicon-bonded vinyl groups in a vinylsilyl-terminated perfluoropolyalkylene or perfluoropolyalkylene polyether compound and silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in a hydrosilyl-terminated perfluoropolyalkylene or perfluoropolyalkylene polyether compound as promoted by a catalyst. Different from conventional platinum compounds as the catalyst for the hydrosilation reaction, the catalyst in the inventive composition is a complex compound of rhodium such as tris(triphenylphosphine) rhodium chloride, rhodium acetate dimer and rhodium acetylacetonate so that the composition is imparted with greatly improved storage stability without viscosity increase over months at room temperature but without affectibg the curability at an elevated temperature.

Novel siloxane compounds are provided which have 1-5 hydrogen atoms each attached to a silicon atom (SiH group) and 1-5 epoxy or alkoxy - containing organic groups each attached to a silicon atom in a molecule. These siloxane compounds are useful tackifiers to conventional resins, have good affinity to fluorinated silicone resins and rubbers so that they impart adhesion to fluorinated silicone resins and rubbers, and contribute to solvent resistance and minimal moisture permeability.

There is disclosed a method for preparing a rubbery cured product of an organopolysiloxane. This product is free from the problems caused by the limited crosslinking velocity or by the necessity of admixing a foreign material such as a crosslinking catalyzing curing agent or a photosensitizer. In this method, a substantially linear diorganopolysiloxane terminated at both chain ends with triorganosilyl groups, each of the triorganosilyl groups having, preferably, 2 or 3 vinyl groups bonded to the silicon atom, is irradiated with ultraviolet light having an energy distribution predominantly rich in the wavelength region from 100 to 300 nm or, preferably, from 180 to 250 nm whereby the energy of the ultraviolet light is most effectively utilized for effecting the crosslinking of the organopolysiloxane. When rapid decrease of the surface tackiness and rapid curing in the depth of a relatively thick layer are desired in the photocuring of the organopolysiloxane by the ultraviolet irradiation, the organopolysiloxane is admixed with small amounts of an organic peroxide.

A novel and very efficient method is disclosed for the introduction of perfluoroalkyl groups into an organopolysiloxane by utilizing the hydrosilation reaction with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane. Different from the conventional but inefficient hydrosilation reaction using a perfluoroalkyl-substituted ethylene as the olefin compound, the inventive method utilizes a propene-1 3-substituted by a perfluoroalkyl group compound as the olefin compound to react with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane by which a very high efficiency in the hydrosilation reaction can be obtained without side reactions which otherwise greatly decrease the yield of the desired perfluoroalkyl-containing organopolysiloxane product.
