Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for packaging an LED by a thermoplastic copolymer. The copolymer is polymerized by 100 parts by weight of an acrylic ester, 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of a hydrogen bond monomer, and 0.1 to 70 parts by weight of a bulky monomer. The copolymer has transparency greater than 90%, thermal resistance greater than 130° C., and moisture absorption less than 0.5 wt %, such that the copolymer may be applied as packaging material for a light emitting device.
Abstract:
A chip on film (COF) trace routing method for EMI reduction includes: providing a flexible circuit board; mounting a chip that has a first signal pad, a second signal pad and a ground pad on the flexible circuit board; and forming a first signal trace, a second signal trace, a first ground trace and a second ground trace on the flexible circuit board. The first signal trace and the second signal trace are electrically connected to the first signal pad and the second signal pad respectively. The first ground trace and the second ground trace are both electrically connected to the ground pad. The first signal trace and the second signal trace are disposed between the first ground trace and the second ground trace. The first ground trace and the second ground trace are immediately adjacent to the first signal trace and the second signal trace respectively.

Abstract:
A fluid cleaning system includes: a reactor unit for receiving a fluid body to be processed; a photocatalyst unit disposed in the reactor unit to contact the fluid body and including composite fibers, the composite fibers including a first fiber component made from a first organic polymer, and a second fiber component made from a second organic polymer and particulate photocatalyst; and a light unit. A method for cleaning a fluid includes: preparing composite fibers having a length ranging from 1 to 80 mm and including a first fiber component made from a first organic polymer, and a second fiber component made from a second organic polymer and particulate photocatalyst; adding the composite fibers in a fluid body in a reactor unit such that the composite fibers are freely suspended in the fluid body; and irradiating the suspended composite fibers in the fluid body in the reactor unit.
Abstract:
A monitored laser system has a laser having a first mirror; an exit mirror, at least a portion of a laser cavity defined by the first mirror and the exit mirror; and an active region located in the laser cavity, the active region containing a material that is capable of stimulated emission at one or more wavelengths of laser light within a tuning range of the laser. A multiple reflectivity band reflector (MRBR) is coupled to at least a portion of laser light emitted from the laser and transmits filtered laser light. The MRBR has a plurality of layers of material arranged in parallel such that the reflector has a plurality of reflectivity peaks within the tuning range, each reflectivity peak separated from neighboring reflectivity peak by a reflectivity trough having a trough minimum, said reflectivity peaks characterized by a peak profile and said trough minima between said reflectivity peaks characterized by a trough profile. At least one of the peak and trough profiles has a substantially non-constant relationship of wavelength to reflectivity. A first photodiode coupled to at least a portion of the filtered laser light produces an output based on the amount of light received. The emitted wavelength of the laser is adjusted toward a desired wavelength within the tuning range based at least in part on the output of the first photodiode.
Abstract:
A planar lightwave circuit (PLC) module for conditioning light output from a tunable laser designed to generate light at a target wavelength. The PLC module has a substrate; a primary waveguide embedded in said substrate, said primary waveguide having an input end for receiving light from the tunable laser and an output end for outputting said light; and at least a first secondary waveguide embedded in said substrate, said first secondary waveguide receiving a first portion of said light from the tunable laser. A filter having a passband centered on the target wavelength is coupled to an output of the first secondary waveguide to receive said first portion of light, and generates a signal related to the intensity of said first portion of light in the passband centered on the target wavelength. This may be used by a processor and associated laser control circuitry for wavelength locking purposes.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided for manipulating folder and file icons on a screen of an electronic device. A folder icon representing a folder is displayed on a screen, in a first mode, at a first location on the screen. The folder may contain a plurality of individual files and the folder icon is configured to indicate the plurality of individual files. An activation event is detected comprising a movement from the first location on the screen to a second location on the screen. In response to detecting the activation event, the folder icon is displayed on the screen along with icons representing the individual files on the screen. The screen may display the icons of the individual files as fanning out from the folder icon and/or may display the icons of the individual files entirely outside of the folder icon.
