A detector assembly is in communication with the controller, and includes a photodetector array in communication with the controller. A scintillator assembly is positioned between the photodetector array and the x-ray source. A collimator assembly is positioned in between the scintillator assembly and the x-ray source. An electroluminescent panel is positioned between the collimator assembly and the scintillator assembly. The electroluminescent panel is in communication with the controller and has an active condition where the electroluminescent panel generates radiation eliciting a response from the detector array.

摘要: A system and method of diagnostic imaging is provided that includes positioning a subject in a scanning bay, comparing a center of mass of the subject to a reference point, and repositioning the subject in the scanning bay to reduce a difference in position between the center of mass of the subject and the reference point. The present invention automatically selects a proper attenuation filter configuration, corrects patient centering, and corrects noise prediction errors, thereby increasing dose efficiency and tube output.

摘要: A dual belt conveyor includes a pair of flexible endless loop conveyor belts arranged at an incline with a lower flight of the upper belt in face-to-face conveying relationship with an upper flight of the lower belt to retain and convey granular material between the belts. Drive pulleys are connected to both belts to move the belts at the same speed, and the conveying flights of the belts are journaled through a trough which forces the belts into a curved concave orientation between the side edges with the upper belt biased downwardly into engagement with product on the lower belt to retain product therebetween.

摘要: A process for depositing a thin film of a main group metal nitride, e.g., AlN, GaN or Sn.sub.3 N.sub.4, is provided. The vapors of a main group metal amido compound are mixed with ammonia gas and allowed to react near a substrate heated to a temperature in the range of 100.degree. C. to 400.degree. C. resulting in deposition of a film on the substrate.

摘要: An improved price display system for a multi-level merchandising machine in which the prices of articles at the respective levels are electronically displayed individually at locations immediately adjacent to the levels. Both the prices and the displays can be changed in a rapid and expeditious manner from a station within the machine cabinet. In addition, both the mode of operation and the compartment size of a level can be displayed and changed. The system may be provided with a timer for automatically changing all prices at a predetermined time. The system employs a small number of conductors to control a large number of displays.

摘要: A light source assembly includes multiple light emitters having output that are focused and mixed onto a optical fiber leading to an endoscope or other device. The emitters can be LEDs or solid state lasers that emit different colors. A driver circuit controls the relative output intensities of the light emitters so as to produce a desired light spectrum. A driver circuit includes a buck topology connected to a controller that provides current mode control. Pulse width modulation of the buck current is provided by a semiconductor switch across a solid state laser. A second order filter, formed by the an external inductor and the output capacitance of the buck topology, minimizes AC current ripple to the laser.

摘要: A nutrient rich food-grade defatted corn germ flour derived from a dry-milled corn germ fraction is provided. The flour produced contains high levels of protein, dietary fiber, and amino acids and is low in fat. Furthermore, a method for preparing the flour by forming collets and removing oil from the dry-milled corn germ fraction is provided. The method includes: providing a dry-milled corn germ fraction; conditioning the fraction; flaking the fraction to increase surface area; adding water and steam to the flaked fraction; forming the flaked fraction into collets; removing oil from the collets by solvent-extraction; drying the collets; and processing the collets in a food-grade flourmill to obtain food-grade defatted corn germ flour with a desired consistency. The solvent-extraction process produces a miscella, a mixture of corn oil, hydrocarbon solvent, and water. The miscella may be processed through a distillation system to recover crude food-grade corn oil.

摘要: A transducer is optimally driven at or near its resonant frequency by a driver system that adapts to variations and/or changes to the resonant frequency of the transducer due to variations in piezo materials, manufacturing, assembly, component tolerances, and/or operational conditions. The system may include an output controller, a phase track controller, a frequency generator, a drive, circuitry to determine a phase angle between the transducer voltage and transducer current, and circuitry to obtain transducer admittance from the transducer voltage and transducer current.
