Abstract:
In one embodiment, a non-volatile memory structure 10 comprises heavily doped source 11 and drain 12 regions formed in the surface of a semiconductor substrate 8 and separated by a channel region. 21. A floating gate 13 is formed over and insulated from the channel region 21 and a control gate 14 is formed over and insulated from the floating gate 13. A lightly doped region 20 is formed in the channel 21 beneath the floating gate 13 and adjoining the source region 11. The lightly doped region 20 is spaced from the surface of said substrate 8. Other embodiments and processes are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A combination clip-board and case which is adapted to protect the paper when not in use, including a clip-board on which a clip is located integral with a pivoting member having a pin at each end thereof, and a case having a sliding groove and a hollow portion on each side of the case so that the pins are rotatable in the hollow portions. The clip-board is optionally settable to working or storage state due to the pins being rotatable in the hollow portions.
Abstract:
A connector assembly for connection and disconnection between ports of fluid lines for administering fluids into a human body from a route other than the oral route. The connector assembly includes a catheter dock, a cap removal dock, a fluid line dock, and a new cap dock. The catheter dock can receive an inlet port of a catheter secured by a catheter cap. The cap removal dock can aseptically remove the catheter cap from the inlet port. The catheter dock can be switched consecutively between the cap removal dock, the fluid line dock, and the new cap dock. Upon removal of the catheter cap, the catheter dock can be switched to the fluid line dock, and the fluid can flow from the fluid line to the catheter. Upon administering the liquid, the catheter dock can be switched from the fluid line dock to the new cap dock, wherein a new catheter cap is secured into the inlet port under aseptic conditions.
Abstract:
A demand-based load balancing function may be provided by one or more drive controllers that takes advantage of the affinity laws to linearize the control of the variable of interest (e.g., flow, pressure, etc.). Each drive controller may be set up by the user simply inputting a few values into the drive controller. Based on the inputs, the drive controllers may interpolate control points using an assumed linear relationship between the variable to be controlled (e.g., pressure) and the current driven to the pump. Feedback data from the system may be used to continually update the drive controllers so as to potentially allow them to better balance power usage to each pump.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory cell and array structure is disclosed situated within a high voltage region of an integrated circuit. The cell utilizes capacitive coupling based on an overlap between a gate and a drift region to impart a programming voltage. Programming is effectuated using a drain extension which can act to inject hot electrons. The cell can be operated as a one-time programmable (OTP) or multiple-time programmable (MTP) device. The fabrication of the cell relies on processing steps associated with high voltage devices, thus avoiding the need for additional masks, manufacturing steps, etc.
Abstract:
A method and system for automatic magnetic resonance (MR) volume composition and normalization is disclosed. In one embodiment, a plurality of MR volumes is received. A composite MR volume is generated from the plurality of MR volumes. Volume normalization of the composite MR volume is then performed to correct intensity inhomogeneity in the composite MR volume. The volume normalization of the composite MR volume may be performed using template MR volume or without a template MR volume.
Abstract:
A method and system for patient-specific computational modeling and simulation for coupled hemodynamic analysis of cerebral vessels is disclosed. An anatomical model of a cerebral vessel is extracted from 3D medical image data. The anatomical model of the cerebral vessel includes an inner wall and an outer wall of the cerebral vessel. Blood flow in the cerebral vessel and deformation of the cerebral vessel wall are simulated using coupled computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and computational solid mechanics (CSM) simulations based on the anatomical model of the cerebral vessel.
Abstract:
A method and system for up-vector detection for ribs in a 3D medical image volume, such as a computed tomography (CT) volume is disclosed. A rib centerline of at least one rib is extracted in a 3D medical image volume. An up-vector is automatically detected at each of a plurality of centerline points of the rib centerline of the at least one rib. The up-vector at each centerline point can be detected using a trained regression function. Alternatively, the up-vector at each centerline point can be detected by detecting an ellipse shape in a cross-sectional rib image generated at each centerline point.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed herein for retrieving network traffic data. In one embodiment, a networking apparatus comprises a memory; a network device; and a processing unit coupled to the network device and the memory. The processing unit is operable to execute a data engine that performs bulk data transfers from the network device periodically into a data buffer in the memory and translates data received from the network device, based on a mapping definition, into a user defined format for export to one or more applications running on networking apparatus.
