Abstract: An ignition coil for an ignition system of an internal combustion engine includes a primary winding connected, by an electrical connection, to a generator, and a secondary winding connected to a spark plug and including a plurality of turns of capillary wire covered with an insulating layer and wound on an electrically insulating support. The support includes a receiving seat in which there is inserted a terminal to which an end portion of the capillary wire is anchored. A connector includes an elastic clip contact element that is fitted on the terminal and is provided with a cutting element to cut the insulating layer of the capillary wire. A stop device prevents the elastic clip contact element from closing beyond a determined amount or entity. An abutment body abuts on the terminal to establish the electrical connection between the capillary wire and the terminal.

The system includes a coil having a primary winding with a first terminal and a second terminal and a secondary winding connected to a spark plug. A high voltage switch is serially connected to the primary winding. A control terminal carries a control signal to control the opening or closing of the high voltage switch. A first switch is interposed between a battery voltage and the first terminal of the primary winding, a second switch is interposed between the first terminal of the primary winding and a reference voltage, a third switch is interposed between the second terminal of the primary winding and said reference voltage. A driving unit is configured to generate signals to control the switches during a charging phase, during a transfer of energy phase, and during a measure phase of ionization current.

Abstract: An electric or hybrid electric-endothermic traction system comprises an electric machine, an inverter, a battery, and a switching device configured to switch between a low-speed configuration, in which the stator windings assume a first electric configuration, and a high-speed configuration, in which the stator windings assume a second electric configuration, wherein the first electric configuration results in a voltage induced by the rotation of the rotor that, on reaching a pre-determined threshold value of the angular velocity of the rotor, exceeds a supply voltage of the battery, whereas the second electric configuration of the stator windings results in a voltage induced by the rotation of the rotor that is lower than the voltage of the battery for any angular velocity within a range of use of the machine. An emergency device is connected to the switching device, control unit and/or inverter.

Abstract: A power factor correction device includes a power supply side which can be connected to an alternating current source, an output side which can be connected to a direct current load, at least a first power inductor electrically connected in series to a first terminal of the power supply side, and a rectifier operatively interposed between the power supply side and the output side. The rectifier includes a diode bridge configured to convert the alternating current from the source into a direct current towards the load, and one or more switches which can be selectively switched between an open configuration and a closed configuration in order to switch the rectifier between a first configuration, in which it interrupts the current flow towards the output side and charges the first inductor, and a second configuration, in which it allows the transfer of current to the load and discharges the first inductor. A second power inductor is electrically connected in series to a second terminal of the power supply side.
