    摘要: The present invention discloses a method in a wireless access network node for controlling a UE. The UE comprises at least two transmit antennas, and is capable of uplink transmit diversity. There is an antenna weight associated with each transmit antenna. First, the wireless access network node determines that the antenna weights of the user equipment may be controlled. Then, it creates a control signal that comprises control information and transmits it to the user equipment. The control information controls a UE autonomous selection of the antenna weights in the UE.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a user equipment for use in a wireless communication system that allow for improved uplink transmit diversity performance by using downlink measurements for making informed decisions on whether or not to change precoding vector for uplink transmission. The user equipment measures (32) downlink characteristics, such as received power, on a plurality of antennas of the user equipment. Based on the measured downlink characteristics a precoding vector for unlink transmission is determined (38). The determined precoding vector is then used to perform uplink transmission (31).

    摘要: A method for power measurements in a cellular communication system comprises receiving measurement configuration orders. Operation of a power meter is controlled in dependence on the measurement configuration orders. Reference signal received powers are measured. A measurement report is compiled and transmitted. The measurement configuration orders comprise cell status information associated with neighbouring cells and measurement instructions that are dependent of the cell status of respective cell. The cell status information comprises information about whether the neighbouring cell is of a different type than the serving cell. Controlling of the operation of the power meter and/or compiling of the measurement report is performed in dependence on the cell status of the neighbouring cell. A method for handover based on such measurement reports is also disclosed as well as Node Bs and user equipments configured to perform such methods.

This facilitates interference cancellation, especially in a network using distributed RRM.
