    摘要: A novel method is proposed for the effective utilization of scraps of cured silicone rubbers, of which no method of disposal is known heretofore other than discarding as a waste material. Namely, scraps of cured silicone rubbers can be compounded in a considerably large amount with a vulcanizable composition based on an organic rubbery elastomer such as fluorocarbon rubbers, e.g., binary copolymers of hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride, and dispersed therein in such fineness that particles of the cured silicone rubber can no longer be recognized by the naked eyes only when the organic rubbery elastomer composition has a specific Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4 100.degree. C.) of at least 70 to give a uniform curable rubber composition capable of being cured into vulcanized rubber articles having various properties as good as or comparable with those of the vulcanized rubber articles from the same organic rubbery elastomer without admixture of cured silicone rubber scraps.

    摘要: A silicone putty composition having high impact resilience immediately after preparation and providing a soft silicone putty having low plasticity is obtained by blending (1) a diorganosiloxane of the formula:R.sub.n SiO.sub.(4-n)/2wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group and n is a number of from 1.98 to 2.02, (2) an organopolysiloxane having a terminal alkoxy group, (3) boric acid or boron oxide, and (4) liquid paraffin. The composition is suited for use in toys and dampers.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method and facility for preventing crumbling and powderization of green pellets when producing high strength green pellets using a powder feedstock and using the pellets in a rotary hearth reducing furnace and for efficiently reducing the same. It comprises kneading by a kneader 5 a feedstock of a powder of a fine particle size (20 to 80 wt % having size of not more than 10 μm) including a metal oxide and carbon-bearing powder fed from a feed storage tank 1 and producing green pellets by a pan type pelletizer 7. The green pellets are screened by a pellet screen 9, then dried by a pellet dryer 11 and reduced by firing in a rotary hearth reducing furnace 13. At that time, the green pellets are continuously conveyed to prevent crumbling.
