摘要: A wire winding apparatus includes a wire nozzle unit, which is rotatable about a rotational axis of the wire nozzle unit, which is generally perpendicular to the axis of an armature core. The wire nozzle unit includes a plurality of wire nozzles, each of which receives and guides a corresponding one of the wires along each of two slots, which are arranged on opposite sides, respectively, of each of a plurality of salient poles of the armature core, to wind the wires around each salient pole. The wire winding apparatus further includes a nozzle rotating device, which rotates the wire nozzle unit about the rotational axis of the wire nozzle unit. The rotating device rotates the wire nozzle unit 180 degrees when the wire nozzle unit is moved from one of the two slots to the other of the two slots.

摘要: A color cathode-ray tube that can attenuate vibration of an entire shadow mask positively with a simple structure. The color cathode-ray tube includes a frame-shaped mask frame and a shadow mask in which many apertures are formed in a flat plate, the shadow mask stretched and fixed in the mask frame in a condition in which a tension force is applied in one direction. The amplitude in the end portions of the shadow mask is not less than a certain amount relative to the amplitude in the center portion of the shadow mask, in a resonance of the shadow mask caused by a vibration propagated to the color cathode-ray tube. Furthermore, by providing vibration attenuators at the end portions of the shadow mask, vibrations at the end portions of the shadow mask are attenuated as the side surfaces of the shadow mask slide on the vibration attenuators. Thus, vibration of the entire shadow mask can be extinguished positively.

摘要: Set of sample identification information and representative-point designating data is generated in accordance with performance data or the like, and sample data is obtained by referring to a database in accordance with the generated sample identification information. If necessary, the thus-obtained sample data is adjusted or modified on the basis of the representative-point designating data. Characteristic of the sample data can be controlled appropriately and efficiently by the representative-point designating data specifying representative sample points for which sample data adjustment is to be performed. For example, particular sample data that is located at a given representative sample point designated by the representative-point designating data is adjusted in accordance with adjustment information, and other sample data that is located at another sample point is adjusted simultaneously with such adjustment at the representative sample point.

摘要: A pitch of a tone to be generated is designated, and simultaneously control information to be used for time-axis stretch/compression control is generated. Discrete locations of waveform data to be read out from memory are designated with the time axis of the waveform data controlled to be stretched or compressed in accordance with the control information, and part of the waveform data at the designated locations are read out at a rate corresponding to the designated pitch. For example, virtual read addresses corresponding to the control information and actual read addresses corresponding to the designated pitch are generated, and the actual read addresses are controlled, at the individual discrete locations, to follow the virtual addresses. Thus, the rate at which the waveform data are read out from the memory is variably controlled to generate a desired pitch, during which time the waveform memory can be optionally controlled to be stretched or compressed along the time axis independently of the readout rate or pitch control. By applying the time-axis stretch/compression control to various performance styles, real-time control, modulation control or tone-generating-time control, it is possible to significantly enhance expression and controllability of the generated tone.

摘要: A music apparatus uses a processing unit of a universal type having an extended instruction set used to carry out parallel computation steps in response to a single instruction which is successively issued when executing a program. A software module defines a plurality of channels and is composed of a synthesis program executed by the processing unit using the extended instruction set so as to carry out synthesis of waveforms of musical tones through the plurality of the channels. The plurality of the channels are optimally grouped into parallel sets each containing at least two channels. The synthesis of the waveforms of at least two channels belonging to each parallel set are carried out concurrently by the parallel computation steps. A buffer has a capacity sufficient to store the waveform samples allotted to one frame period. A cache has a capacity sufficient to store a subset of the waveform samples which is an integer division of the set allotted to one frame period. The synthesis program is executed by the processing unit at one frame period so as to carry out synthesis of a set of waveform samples allotted to one frame period while efficiently accessing the cache. Any designated subroutine programs are sequentially called in response to call instructions to process the waveform samples during the synthesis.

摘要: In each of terminal devices, there is stored user profile information on the corresponding device. The user profile information includes data identifying the user, type and name of the device, information regarding a CPU, memory and operating system (OS) provided in the device, and information regarding various data and program stored in the device. When desired musical information data is to be downloaded from a host computer, a request for downloading optimum data is sent to the host computer. This permits efficient loading of data most suitable for system conditions. When data or program is to be loaded from a recording medium, such as a CD-ROM, rather than a communication network, efficient loading is permitted in a similar manner.
