摘要: A window pane for an automobile includes a single sheet of glass plate and an infrared cutoff film formed on the single sheet of glass plate. A film thickness of the infrared cutoff film on an upper portion of the window pane is greater than the film thickness on a lower portion of the window pane when the window pane is installed in the automobile. A variation from a minimum value in the film thickness on the lower portion to a maximum value in the film thickness on the upper portion is at least 1000 nm per 600 mm in a vertical direction of the window pane when installed in the automobile. The infrared cutoff film is formed on a surface of the single sheet of glass plate by using a flow coating method.

摘要: There are provided a glass plate having a thin film formed thereon that can reduce a change in reflection color caused by a change in angle to a glass plate surface on which a thin film is formed, and reduce the change in reflection color even if an uneven thin film having a difference in thickness is formed on the glass plate surface. The glass plate 10 having a thin film formed thereon includes a glass plate 11 having glass plate surfaces (a bottom surface 11a and a top surface 11b) and a thin film (an infrared ray cutting film) 12. The infrared ray cutting film 12 is formed on the top surface 11b of the glass plate 11. A thickness of the infrared ray cutting film 12 is 300 to 3000 nm. A mole ratio of the content of the ITO particles to the content of the silica in the infrared ray cutting film 12 is 0.6:9.4 to 2.3:7.7.

摘要: To provide a flip electronic device in which even when rain water or the like enters therein to a certain extent, it is absorbed and hence an electric circuit therein is not affected. In the flip electronic device, slight clearances are formed between bearings (3a), (3b), (4a), (4b) for rotatably connecting first and second enclosures (1), (2), and cylindrical members (13), (14) formed coaxially with the bearings (3a), (3b), (4a), (4b), and hence rain water may enter through these clearances. Therefore, water-absorbing members (19), (20) are mounted to an end of a printed wiring assembly (17), and rain water entered through the clearances is absorbed by the water absorbing members (19), (20), so as to prevent an electric circuit located in the enclosure from being affected.

摘要: When the key operation area is pressed, a decision is made about whether the key is pre-registered a single button dialing telephone number or not (step 3). In case a decision is made that a single button dialing telephone number is pre-registered to the key in step 3, the timer starts when the key is pressed (step 6). In case the key is held down for the predetermined period (T1), an operation to instruct single button dialing via a so-called hold-down operation is assumed, thus causing the single button dialing telephone number pre-registered to the key held down to appear on the display (step 8). When a predetermined period (T2) has elapsed with the key held down (step 9), an operation to instruct a call origination to the telephone number on the display is assumed and a call is originated then conversation starts depending on the answer of the distant party (step 10). Keys on the cover can be used to operate keys on the body.

摘要: First display (4) comprising a liquid crystal display is provided on the external surface of the first case body (1). In the near proximity of the first display (4), a non-voice radio communications service start button (5), scroll buttons (6a), (6b), and a selection/decision button (7) are provided. On the internal surface of the first case body (1), the second display 8, on the side of which is provided an antenna 9 retractable slantwise, is provided. In the first case body (1) is embedded a magnet (18) and in the second case body (2) is embedded a lead switch (19). When the main unit is folded to bring the magnet (18) in close proximity to the lead switch (19), the lead switch is turned ON. When the main unit is unfolded to place the magnet (18) apart from the lead switch (19), the lead switch is turned OFF. This allows detection of folding/unfolding of the case body.

摘要: A headlamp testing method of the invention involves the steps of applying the low beam of the headlamp onto a screen, determining the position of the geometrical center of a closed area of illuminance higher than a predetermined level, determining the position of a cut off line cross point from the position of the geometrical center and a predetermined amount of offset, and determining a presumption line cut off line from the cut off line cross point. The presumption line thus determined is displayed together with a mark which indicates the within which the cross point should fall, and the headlamp beam is judged as being acceptable when the cross point is located within this range.

摘要: A method of examining the state of alignment of headlamp beam axis has the following steps: taking up by a TV camera the image of the light distribution pattern of a headlamp beam on a screen; specifying a closed curved area of illumination intensities higher than a predetermined level in the taken-up image of the light distribution pattern; determining the position of the geometrical center of the specified closed curved area and displaying the position of the geometrical center on a monitor TV; measuring the area of the specified closed curved area; comparing the measured actual area of the closed curved area with a command area; adjusting the quantity of light received by the TV camera in accordance with the result of the comparison until the measured actual area of the closed curved area becomes equal to the command area; and displaying, on a monitor TV, a pattern representing the allowable range and a mark representing the position of the beam axis. When the marks falls within the allowable range, it is judged that the state of alignment of the beam axis is acceptable.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor for use in a copying apparatus or a printer is disclosed. The method comprises steps of providing an electrically conductive substrate, providing a first layer provided on the substrate for preventing injection of electrons into the photoreceptor from the substrate, providing a second layer of amorphous silicon provided on the first layer for determining charging characteristic of photoreceptor and providing a third layer for preventing injection of holes into the photoreceptor from the surface thereof and for effecting passivation of the surface. The second layer is subjected to doping of boron, which is effected by introducing a mixed gas of boron and silicon with a ratio of 0.2-2 ppm into a growth chamber.
