摘要： A facsimile apparatus contains transfer modes such as a standard mode, a fine image quality mode, a super fine image quality mode which are different from one another in resolution. A signal representing each transfer mode is transmitted from the transmission side to the reception side before the transmission and reception of facsimile image data. A control unit detects the resolution of reception data according to the transfer mode signal to switch over methods for conversion into high-tone in a high-tone conversion unit or to set the magnification of conversion of a resolution conversion unit according to the detected resolution. In this case, when high resolution is detected, the unit for conversion into high-tone executes conversion into multi-value using an area of 17.times.17 picture elements around candidate picture elements for processing. When low resolution is detected, the unit executes the conversion into multi-value using an area of 11.times.11 picture elements around the candidate picture elements for processing.

摘要： A universal joint yoke comprises: (a) a generally cylindrical connecting part made by press-forming a metal plate and having internal peripheral serrations, a first end portion at which edges of the metal plate are brought into abutment to form a tubular abutting part, a second end portion with a pair of flanges disposed at opposite sides of an axial gap and facing one another substantially in parallel, and a pair of reentrant cut-outs with a respective one of the cut-outs being disposed between each flange and the abutting part, and (b) a pair of diametrically opposed connecting arms integrally formed with the first end portion of the connecting part and extending axially outwardly from the first end portion of the connecting part. One of the flanges is provided with a tapped hole and the other of the flanges is provided with a through-hole coaxial with the tapered hole for passing a bolt to be screwed inito the tapped hole. Each connecting arm is provided with a respective through-hole, and the respective through-holes of the connecting arms are coaxial.

摘要： An image processing apparatus that is capable of preventing an unauthorized connection from a host apparatus which is not permitted to use a device by restricting a host apparatus that performs an association process by a method other than password authentication. A processing unit performs an association process with the host apparatus in order to perform the wireless communication. A storage unit stores a permitted host ID indicating the host apparatus that is permitted to perform the association process by the processing unit. A control unit compares a host ID transmitted from the host apparatus with the permitted host ID stored in the storage unit when the processing unit performs the association process, and determines whether the processing unit performs the association process based on a result of the comparison.
