Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may send a discovery request to a first edge enabler server (EES) instance to obtain edge application server (EAS) information. The WTRU may receive a discovery response from the first EES instance. The discovery response may indicate a list of EAS information and/or registrar EES information for one or more EAS instances in the list of EAS information. The WTRU may select an EAS instance based on one or more of the list of EAS information or the registrar EES information for the one or more EAS instances. A second EES instance of the plurality of EES instances may be the registrar EES of the selected EAS instance.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are described for improved edge network access for a UE. According to some aspects, a UE may receive a first Data Network Name (DNN) from an application and determine, based on a Data Network Name (DNN) Replacement Rule, the first DNN is associated with a second Data Network Name (DNN), where the first DNN and the second DNN are different. The UE may determine, based on the DNN Replacement Rule, to associate traffic from the application with a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) Session, where the PDU Session may be used to send data from the application to a network and the PDU Session is associated with the second DNN.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are described for improved application interaction for network slicing. A wireless transmit/receive unit may send, to a network node, a registration request including an indication that the WTRU is capable of receiving information associated with a temporal availability of a network slice. The WTRU may receive a registration response including the information associated with the temporal availability of the network slice. The WTRU may determine, based on the temporal availability of the network slice, to stop use of a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with the network slice.

Abstract: An overall architecture to integrate multicast and broadcast service into a general 5G core network. The architecture may provide methods and systems to switch the delivery mode of transmitting messages to User Equipment (UE)s from a unicast mode to a multicast mode. The method includes triggering events at UE, network functions, content provider or RAN node to initiate the switch process; a procedure for UE initiated switch from unicast to multicast; a procedure for network-initiated switch from unicast mode to multicast mode; and a procedure for RAN initiated switch from unicast mode to multicast mode. The architecture may also provide methods to switch the delivery mode from multicast mode to unicast mode. A method comprising receiving, by a non-access stratum, NAS, layer of a wireless transmit/receive unit, WTRU, and from an application server, a coordination identifier; sending, by the WTRU and to a core network entity, a request to establish a protocol data unit, PDU, session, wherein the request comprises the coordination identifier; receiving, by the WTRU, configuration information associated with the coordination identifier and the PDU session, wherein the configuration information comprises one or more rules associated with the PDU session that are to be coordinated with one or more rules associated with other PDU sessions; and receiving, by the WTRU, from the core network entity, a message indicating establishment of the PDU session.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities may be provided to discover a personal Internet of Things (IoT) network (PIN). A discovery policy configuration information associated with a PIN may be determined. The discovery policy configuration information may comprise a PIN identification (ID) and may indicate that discovery for the PIN may be enabled. A first message may be sent to a second WTRU if discovery for the PIN is enabled. The first message may be based on the discovery policy configuration information and may indicate the PIN ID. A second message may be received from the second WTRU. The second message may indicate the PIN ID and may indicate a request for information associated with the PIN. A third message may be sent to the second WTRU. The third message may indicate the PIN ID and may indicate the requested information that may be associated with the PIN.

Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) node and methods to transmit downlink packet data units (PDUs) associated with a quality of service (QOS) flow of a PDU session with differing priority levels on a per-PDU basis are disclosed. A base station may receive, from a session management function (SMF), a packet data unit (PDU) set importance rule associated with a quality of service (QOS) profile for a PDU session. The base station receives, from a user plane function (UPF), a PDU for downlink transmission, the PDU received in a general packet radio service tunneling protocol (GTP-U) message having a header, and determines a priority level of the PDU based on information in the GTP-U message header and the PDU set importance rule. The base station may schedule the PDU for downlink transmission based on the determined priority level. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: One or more systems, devices, and/or methods may address approaches and use techniques described herein to onboard a device when the device does not have a predetermined home network. The device may indicate, explicitly or implicitly, that it does not have a home network to an onboarding network. The onboarding network may authenticate the device, then provide the device with a provisioning server address. The onboarding network may initiate a unified data management service, and provide the provisioning server with a temporary identifier for the device. The device may establish a connection with the provisioning server, and provide the temporary credentials to the device. The device may use the temporary credentials to register with the onboarding network.

The power reporting policy may include one or more triggers associated with sending a power status report. The WTRU may determine that a trigger of the one or more triggers associated with sending the power status report has been satisfied. The WTRU may send the power status report to the network node in accordance with the power reporting policy. The power status report may include power status information associated with the WTRU and/or an indication that indicates the determined trigger to send the power status report.
