Each of the dies may have a contacting surface for contacting the article to be shaped. The chamber may have a first portion having a first cross-section and a second portion having a second cross-section. Either portion may include a taper. The first portion may have a differently shaped cross-section than the second portion. The first portion may have a cross-section of greater area than the second portion. The longitudinal axis of the first portion may be offset from the longitudinal axis of the second portion.

    摘要： A catheter assembly comprises a catheter shaft having a proximal region a distal region and a rotational seal therebetween. The rotational seal comprises a first component fixedly engaged to the proximal region and a second component fixedly engaged to the distal region. The components engaged in an overlapping arrangement. The rotational seal is actuatable between a non-activated and activated states. In the non-activated state the first component and the second component are separated by a gap which provides for the distal region of the catheter shaft to be rotatable relative to the proximal region. In the activated state at least a portion of the fist component and the second component being sealingly engaged together such that distal region is made static relative to the proximal region.

    摘要： The present invention regards an implant that may be uniquely shaped to enhance its functionality and that may also be coated with a coating system that affects its functionality. In one embodiment the implant may have a first surface that is covered with a filter material, the filter material being in contact with a catalyst that promotes the decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide into Hydrogen and Oxygen. In this and other embodiments, this filter material may be made from ceramic materials and may be meso-porous. In another embodiment, the implant may or may not be coated with this system and may have at least one strut with a tapered cross-section, the cross-section becoming smaller in area when moving from a reference point on the inside of the implant to the outside of the implant.
