摘要: An ignition apparatus is disclosed for use in a multi cylinder internal combustion engine having a first group of cylinders supplied with an enriched air-fuel mixture and a second group of cylinders supplied with a lean air-fuel mixture. A first control device controls the ignition timing of the first cylinders and a second control device controls the ignition timing of the second cylinders. The first and second control devices are adapted to operate in such a way that the ignition timing for the second cylinders is retarded relative to that for the first cylinders at medium or low load conditions of the engine, and the ignition timing for the second cylinders is advanced relative to or nearly the same as that for the first cylinders under a high load condition.

摘要: A decoding device has a buffer configured in memory to store N code streams and N decoders connected in series. Each of N decoders decodes a corresponding code steam and sequentially generates partial symbols of M bit width each unit cycle. Among the N decoders, i (i>=2) stage decoders stores multiple probabilistic models in the memory. In each unit cycle, the decoder receives an input of i−1 partial symbols which contains partial symbols generated by the i−1 stage decoder in the former unit cycle, selects one probabilistic model among the multiple probabilistic models based on i−1 partial symbols which are entered previously, generates one partial symbol using previously selected probabilistic models, and outputs the previously generated one partial symbol along with previously entered i−1 partial symbols.

摘要: An optical communication module and an optical communication device including the same are provided. For example, a first semiconductor chip on which a laser diode is formed and a second semiconductor chip on which a laser diode driver circuit, etc. for subjecting the laser diode to drive by current are formed are mounted on a package printed circuit board to be close to each other. Temperature detecting means is further formed on the second semiconductor chip (laser diode driver circuit, etc.). The temperature detecting means detects a temperature variation ΔT of the first semiconductor chip (laser diode) transmitted via a wiring in the package printed circuit board and controls the magnitude of the driving current of the laser diode driver circuit based on a detection result.

摘要: A disk array system comprises plural disk array devices, and each disk array device has two disk array controllers (first DAC and second DAC) for controlling a disk array. In each disk array device, the first DAC has a redundant configuration with a second DAC of any one of the other disk array devices. Likewise, in each disk array device, the second DAC has a redundant configuration with a first DAC of any one of the other disk array devices. Accordingly, because of the failure of a backboard or the like, even if the first DAC and second DAC of a disk array device become inoperative, when their partners in the redundant configurations are operative, the function as the DAC is maintained. Therefore, it is possible to replace a disk array device or the backboard thereof without terminating the operation of the disk array system.

摘要: In a signal transmission system where an influence of the circuit characteristic variation of an input circuit on signal receiving operation cannot be ignored, there is provided a method of realizing a low-offset input circuit which is capable of conducting high-speed operation and always continuing signal receiving operation without increasing the number of terminals of a semiconductor integrated circuit and without the necessity of providing additional signal observing means and variation adjustment amount calculating means to the external of the semiconductor integrated circuit. In a signal receiver circuit having an input circuit, an automatic zero amplifier, an analog/digital converter circuit, an encoder circuit, and a signal holding circuit, an output error signal of the input circuit is amplified by the automatic zero amplifier, and the signal is digitalized or the digitalized signal is encoded as the occasion demands, and held by the holding circuit, and the circuit characteristic variation of the input circuit is adjusted by the held signal.
