摘要： An image forming apparatus including an image bearing member; a charger; a light irradiator; a developing device; a transfer device; an image bearing member's cleaner; and a fixing device, wherein the fixing device includes a fixing member configured to fix a toner image upon application of heat and pressure thereto; a pressing member configured to press the recording material toward the fixing member; and a cleaning member configured to clean a surface of the fixing member and/or the pressing member, wherein the cleaning member has an outermost layer including a reactive material which increases viscoelasticity of a binder resin of the toner by reacting with the binder resin.

摘要： In a fixing device, a controller switches a pressing member between a pressure application state to contact the pressing member against a fixing member and a pressure release state to separate the pressing member from the fixing member. The controller starts rotation of the pressing member before the pressing member contacts the fixing member in the pressure application state, when the pressing member switches from the pressure release state to the pressure application state. An oil applier includes an oil pan and an oil regulating member. The oil pan is provided under the pressing member to contain oil in which the pressing member is dipped. The oil regulating member is provided downstream from the oil pan in a direction of rotation of the pressing member to contact the pressing member to regulate an amount of oil adhering to the pressing member.

摘要： A fixing device includes a rotatable first nip formation member, a rotatable second nip formation member, a first heater, a second heater, and a controller. The second nip formation member is provided under the first nip formation member to contact the first nip formation member to form a fixing nip portion between the first nip formation member and the second nip formation member. The first heater heats the first nip formation member. The second heater heats the second nip formation member. The controller supplies a portion of power to the second heater and the remainder of power to the first heater when a plurality of sheets having a sheet weight not greater than about 100 g/m2 passes through the fixing nip portion continuously.

摘要： A picture design forming operation detects an adhering amount of toner by an optical sensor in an image forming apparatus. Image forming conditions are controlled on the basis of the detection result and a toner image is formed on a member. The toner image is then transferred to a transferring substance. The transferring substance is then attached to a picture design forming object and is sintered in this state. Further, a light absorbing material which has absorbency to light of a wavelength used in the optical sensor is contained in the toner, and resolves at least at a temperature of the sintering process.

摘要： A fixing apparatus includes a fixing roller for fixing a toner on a transferring material and a pressing roller for coming into contact with and pressing against a fixing roller. The apparatus further includes a cleaning roller which comes into contact with and cleans the fixing roller as well as a blade which scratches off toner and foreign particles transferred to the cleaning roller from the fixing roller. In the apparatus of the present invention, a coated layer including polyimide and polytetrafluorethylene is disposed on the surface of the cleaning roller.

The rubber composition for a tread includes a rubber component containing 35% by mass or more of an epoxidized natural rubber; and a white filler, wherein a total sulfur content is less than 1.75% by mass, and a crosslink density is 7.0×10−5 mol/cm3 or more.

The heat roller is rotatable around a rotational axis thereof while subjected to induction heating. The fuser member is disposed parallel to the heat roller. The endless belt is looped for rotation around the heat roller and the fuser member. The pressure member is disposed opposite the fuser member via the endless belt. The first rotation transmitter is connected to the rotational axis of the heat roller to rotate around a rotational axis thereof upon rotation of the heat roller. The second rotation transmitter engages the first rotation transmitter to rotate around a rotational axis thereof upon rotation of the first rotation transmitter.
