    摘要: Electrically conductive vulcanised epoxidised natural rubber [ENR]-carbon black blends can be produced by using either internal mechanical mixing method or open milling method. These two methods are commercially friendly due to their practicability and high production rate. The addition of vulcanisation system, either sulfur or peroxide type does not affect the electrical properties of the vulcanised blends. All vulcanized blends prepared in this innovation show useful electrical properties with electrical volume resistances as low as the order of 101 ohms. All these vulcanised blends also exhibit good mechanical properties with tensile strengths up to 26.0 MPa and Dunlop rebound resiliencies of 14.0% (i.e. high damping property). The black colour level of all these vulcanised blends is adjustable. As a result of good electrical and mechanical properties (especially high damping property), they have good potential to be used for antistatic footwear manufacturing and application.

    摘要: Disclosed is the preparation of compositions which are mixtures of certain types of epoxidized rigid copolymers of α-olefins and diene-derived co-monomers in combination with elastomeric diene-based polymers or copolymers. These two types of rigid and elastomeric polymeric materials are placed in a common liquid reaction medium and contacted therein with an oxidizing agent. The oxidizing agent, which can be a peroxide or peracid, epoxidizes in-situ at least a portion of the residual double bonds of the rigid copolymer and preferably also introduces hydroxyl groups, e.g., diol moieties, (or derivatives thereof such as ester groups) onto the unsaturated moieties of the elastomeric diene-based polymers or copolymers. This combination of materials which has been oxidized in-situ can then be co-precipitated to form a polymeric mixture which can be melt-molded into polyolefin materials of improved structural, thermal and mechanical properties with desirable impact resistance.

    摘要: The present invention provides a sheet conveying roller which requires a smaller number of ingredients than a prior art sheet conveying roller, has an excellent weather resistance, is less liable to suffer from reduction in friction coefficient attributable to accumulation of paper dust and sheet conveying failure attributable to the reduction in friction coefficient, and ensures proper sheet conveyance for a longer period of time. The invention further provides a rubber composition for the sheet conveying roller. The rubber composition comprises an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and an epoxylated natural rubber as a rubber component. In the rubber composition, the epoxylated natural rubber is present in a proportion of 10 mass % to 90 mass % based on the overall amount of the rubber component including the two rubbers. The sheet conveying roller includes a roller body formed from the rubber composition.
