    摘要: Disclosed is an arrangement that enables to keep a relative positional relation between a beam for servo control and a beam for information recording/reproduction constant concerning focusing control and tracking control, even if the two beams are different from each other. An optical storage medium has a reflection surface for reflecting a first beam having a first wavelength, and reflecting a second beam having a second wavelength different from the first wavelength; and an information storage layer for recording information as an interference pattern by incidence of the first beam, or reproducing the information from a wave surface based on the interference pattern. The reflection surface is formed with plural marks or guide grooves usable in a tracking operation or a focusing operation by irradiation of the second beam. The information storage layer is partially formed, in advance, with a reference interference pattern which is reproduced when the first beam is irradiated, and which is used as a reference for correcting the relative positional relation between the first beam and the second beam.

    摘要: A two-dimensional image formation device of the present invention is provided with a spatial light modulation element (7) for modulating light having a linear polarization and emitted from a laser light source (1), and a depolarization means (21) for depolarizing the modulated light before it is incident on an image display surface. The light having a linear polarization is used before and after incidence of irradiated light to the spatial light modulation element (7), and the linear polarization of the irradiated light is depolarized after the modulation, whereby randomly polarized light is projected on a screen (11). Thereby, speckle noise is significantly reduced, and a high-definition image can be formed.

    摘要: A linearly polarized light beam emitted from a coherent light source reaches a polarizing phase plate and is thereby divided into a primary beam and a subsidiary beam having a polarized light component perpendicular to the polarized light component of the primary beam and a double-humped pattern, in which the center position coincides with the center position of the primary beam and the principal portion is equal in size to the principal portion of the primary beam. The primary beam and the subsidiary beam are focused onto an information storage surface of an optical disk and reflected therefrom, so that they are separated again through polarization separation and individually detected by first to third optical detectors. The output signals from the first to third optical detectors are calculated by a differential calculator and outputted therefrom.

    摘要: An optical fiber of which one end is optically coupled to a laser light source propagating, from the one end to other end, a laser light emitted from the laser light source. A light-guiding plate includes a light-guiding section in which a plurality of right prisms of the same shape for extracting the laser light by contacting the optical fiber are arranged parallel to each other in the same direction at equal intervals. A planar section diffuses the laser light extracted from the light-guiding section and emits the diffused laser light from one main surface. The optical fiber is bent more than twice to form a plurality of straight line portions arranged parallel to each other at unequal intervals, and the optical fiber and the light-guiding plate are positioned such that the laser light is extracted at equal intervals from each of the plurality of straight line portions.
