    摘要: The present invention relates to a land vehicle suspension in which a plurality of wheel and hub assemblies (10,11,12,13) are each connected to the body of the vehicle by one of a plurality of actuators (26,27,28,29). The operation of each actuator (26,27,28,29) is controlled by an electronic or electrical processor (100). The processor (100) operates in response to signals received from a plurality of sensors which generate output signals indicative of the attitude of the vehicle body and forces on the body; e.g. a yaw gyrometer (200), a lateral accelerometer (300), a longitudinal accelerometer (400), a steering angle sensor (500), a vehicle speed sensor (600), load cells (45,46,47,48), hub accelerometers (49,50,51,52) and L.V.I.T.'s (53,54,55,56). The processor (100) detects failure of a sensor and a detection of the failure of the sensor operates in response to the remaining functioning sensor or functioning sensors of the plurality of sensors. Preferably the processor replaces the output signal of the failed sensor with a signal derived from an output signal of a functioning sensor or output signals of functioning sensors.

    摘要: A device for extracting energy from sea waves by the motion of a submerged cylinder held normal to the direction of motion of the waves by tie members at each end of the cylinder. The tie members at their other respective ends are moored to the sea bed. Changes in the load on the tie members are arranged to turn in one direction a drum drivably connected to a vane pump. A spring, or a counterweight acting on a cam-shaped pulley, is arranged to apply a biasing load to the drum in the other direction so as to produce an oscillatory movement of the drum from changes in load on the tie members and drive the pump. A hydraulic motor connected to an electric generator is driven by the pump.The drum may be situated at the moorings on the sea bed, or at the cylinder.

The jack is actuated to move the stand and increase a tension in the tension member to move the second portion with respect to the first portion. The frame is repaired while the frame support is coupled to the frame. The jack is actuated to move the stand and decrease the tension in the tension member to move the second portion with respect to the first portion. The tension member is decoupled from the second portion. The stand is decoupled form the first portion.

    摘要: A debris removal device features structural support from an exterior housing that allows more space for debris collection. The debris enters the collection volume from the top to eliminate debris from having to go through a valve. The screen in the device is disposed internally to protect it during handling and running. A variety of external flow diverters are used to direct debris laden fluid into the tool and to keep debris out of an annular space around the tool that could interfere with its removal. The diverters can be actuated by relative movement in the tool or applied pressure to a piston which can inflate a sleeve or orient or misalign paths through brushes for selective bypassing of fluid exterior to the tool.

    摘要: A debris catcher uses induced circulation from a venturi to urge debris laden flow into the lower end of a housing. An inlet tube maintains velocity so as to keep the debris moving with the fluid stream as it goes up the inlet tube. A screen fits over the open end of the inlet tube and runs down around the inlet tube toward the entrance of the debris laden fluid into the lower end of the housing. There is a clearance around the cylindrical portion of the screen so some flow can exit that way. There is also an open exit through the top of the screen that can be reached after the fluid stream makes two hairpin turns. Many modules can be stacked. Each module has a large screen area for flow to exit and progressive modules can have smaller screen openings in an uphole flow direction.
