    Abstract: An image processing device includes: an estimated size setting section (ACS determination section 151) which sets a document size of a document sheet as an estimated size; a threshold deciding section (ACS determination section 151) which decides a first threshold according to the estimated size; and an ACS determination section (151) which determines that the document sheet is a color document sheet when a number of color pixels reaches the first threshold. When an actual size of the document sheet is smaller than the estimated size, the threshold deciding section decides a second threshold which is smaller than the first threshold, and the document sheet is determined to be a color document sheet when the number of color pixels is the second threshold or greater and is determined to be a black-and-white document sheet when the number of color pixels is smaller than the second threshold.

    Abstract: An image forming system includes a portable terminal device and an image forming apparatus. The portable terminal device includes a job information acquisition circuit, an augmented reality circuit, and a job moving circuit. The job information acquisition circuit acquires job information indicative of the print job executed by the image forming apparatus. The augmented reality circuit causes a display device to display a composite image where a job information image based on the job information acquired by the job information acquisition circuit is combined on a location corresponding to the image forming apparatus on a captured image captured by an imaging device. The job moving circuit moves the print job between the plurality of image forming apparatuses corresponding to an operation input by an input device with respect to the job information image displayed on the display device by the augmented reality circuit.

    Abstract: An image scanning apparatus of this disclosure includes: a scanner unit which generates image data by image scanning and outputs it; a memory; a data processing unit which (a1) performs a predetermined process for either the image data outputted by the scanner unit or the image data for which a preprocess has been performed, (a2) writes the processed image data into a predetermined memory area in the memory in turn, and (a3) returns a writing position of the image data to a top of the memory area and overwrite the image data if the writing position of the image data reaches an end of the memory area; and a control unit which (b1) allocates the memory area in the memory and (b2) measures a shortage amount of the memory area on the basis of a size of an area where the image data has been overwritten.

    Abstract: Systems and methods relate generally to textile patch attachment to a textile material. In an example, a method relating generally to textile patch attachment to a textile material is disclosed. In such a method, design and coloring of a textile patch and the textile material is detected. This detection includes: capturing images of the textile patch and the textile material with a camera; sending the images to a programmed computer system in communication with the camera for image processing; determining thickness and colors of the textile patch and the textile material from the image processing of the images; and determining position of the textile patch relative to a pattern of the textile material from the image processing of the images. After the detecting, data obtained from the detecting is displayed on a display screen of the programmed computer system.

    Abstract: An image forming method: imaging an image forming medium in the image forming unit to generate medium image data representing the image forming medium; controlling an image formation in a plurality of modes including a single-side image forming mode and a duplex image forming mode; and detecting an ink stain based on tone differences between first medium image data and second medium image data by comparing the first medium image data as medium image data representing one surface of the image forming medium and the second medium image data as medium image data representing another surface of the image forming medium when the duplex image forming mode is selected. The controlling includes setting the whole image formable region as the target of the ejection restriction process in response to the detection of the ink stain to inhibit an ejection of the ink to the other surface.
