    摘要: A process for the tertiary treatment of biochemical waste waters comprising the following 4 main steps; (1) adding milk of lime to waste water from the anaerobic digestion treatment process to render the waste water alkaline and recovering NH.sub.3 by reduced pressure distillation, (2) contacting recovered NH.sub.3 with a weakly acidic ion exchange resin to make NH.sub.3 adsorbed in the ion exchanger resin, (3) adding acid to the adsorbed ammonia to form an ammonia salt, and (4) blowing CO.sub.2 into the treated water from which NH.sub.3 has been removed, to thereby recover P, and subjecting the treated water from which N and P have been removed to the activated sludge treatment to remove BOD.

    摘要: A thermoelectric conversion element includes: a magnetic layer; a conductive film formed on the magnetic layer and configured to generate an electromotive force in an in-plane direction by inverse spin-Hall effect; and two terminal sections formed to contact with the conductive film at two portions whose potentials are different to each other by the electromotive force. Each of the two terminal sections contacts with the conductive film in a continuous or discrete contact surface. A longitudinal direction of a minimum rectangle which encompasses the continuous or discrete contact surface of each of the two terminal sections intersects with the direction of the electromotive force.

The arrangement of the CNT channel layer formed of a plurality of CNT patches can increase the probability that part of CNT patches becomes a semiconductive CNT patch. Since part of a plurality of CNT patches forming the channel layer is formed of a semiconductive CNT patch, a transistor having a good on/off ratio can be provided.

A first interference filter having a design wavelength of 3.4 .mu.m is positioned before a measuring detector, while a second interference filter transmitting a band range between 1 .mu.m and 5 .mu.m is positioned in front of a reference detector. A logarithm of the ratio of the reference detector output to the measuring detector output is used for determining the oil concentration in a sample.

    摘要: A centrifugal separation method for living cells is disclosed in which a cell containing solution is charged in a rotor chamber confined by a steam pressure-resistant wall. A rotor having septa is disposed in the rotor chamber. The septa are rotatable in the same direction at the same angular velocity as the rotor while at least part thereof is immersed in a solution in the rotor when cells are to be centrifuged from the cell-containing solution. After the cells are separated and adhered to the inner surface of the rotor, a supernatant in the rotor is discharged form the rotor. Then a fresh cultivating medium is introduced into the rotor, and the septa and the rotor are rotated at mutually different angular velocities while at least part of the septa is immersed in the fresh medium in the rotor. As a result, the cells are again suspended in the fresh medium.
